I'm not sure but I think I was only out for a few minutes. I was still on the floor where I collapsed and I was still in the same awkward position. I pushed myself to me elbows and slowly sat up. I looked at the man standing next to me looking at me with concerned eyes and all the memories came flooding back in.

I was only 12 years old and it was when I was moving to the mortal world. I was sitting on the swing thinking about what it would be like. living in the mortal world again. I moved to the second realm* when I was 2 years old so I don't remember anything about what it's like. as I was thinking I watched the pure gold chain of the swing glint in the sunlight. "I can't believe it! I heard rumors but I didn't think they were true. is it true? are you really moving to the mortal?" the slightly deep voice startled me but I didn't jump because I knew no harm would follow it. I turned my head to look at him, smiled sadly and nodded. he ran a hand through his short silver hair. "They can't take you away from me! I'll miss too much!" he looked at me with an expression so intense it set my heart on fire and sent goosebumps all over me.

"No you won't. look Danny, since I'm leaving you have to take my place as prince. your 14 already so soon the council are going to start pressuring you to get married," even though I didn't want to continue, I had to. "what I'm trying to say is soon enough you're going to meet a girl that will make your ears pop because she's so beautiful and all you think about is her and before you know it, you're going to forget about me, I guarantee." I got up and sat next to him on the shiny bronze bench.

"But you don't get it! I don't want anyone else! I love you and I want you, I don't want anyone else." he looked at me with tears shining in his eyes. I shifted my body so I'm facing him. I put my hands on either side of his face.

"Promise me something?" he nodded as a response. "promise me that if I don't come back that you'll continue your life as if I was never in it. that means falling in love, having kids, and living a happy life."

"I don't-" he started.

"Promise me." he sighed and nodded.

"Only if you promise me something." I nodded signaling for him to continue. "that while you're gone you'll do everything in your power to come back." I nodded and smiled in relief.

"Of course. but wait! something to remember me by?" I pulled out the ring my father gave me, it was a heavy iron band with my name engraved in it. I outstretched my hand and gave it to him.

"Are you sure? I don't have anything to give you." he pulled out a chain from his jean pocket and attached the ring to the chain and put it around his neck.

"Of course. But I have to ask for something in return." he nodded and replied, "anything." I leaned in and whispered. "I want my first kiss. and I want you to give it to me." he looked shocked at first but quickly recovered. he leaned in close but stopped right when we were about to touch lips.

"Are you sure about this?" he looked into my eyes as he asked this. I rolled my eyes and closed the gap between us crashing my lips to his. the kiss was short and sweet.

When I pulled away, Daniel smiled and said, "you were supposed to wait for your first kiss." I chuckle and replied, "too late."

"Arty! Arty, it's time to go!"

"I'm coming, one second!" I looked at Daniel And bit my lip to stop from crying. "Oh Daniel, I'm gonna miss you SO much!" I threw my arms around his neck and sobbed into his neck. his arms snaked around my waist and he buried his head into my hair.

"I'm gonna miss you too, Artsy. so much." I pulled away and chuckled at the nickname he used to use when we were little.

"I guess I have to to go. ill see you later." I turned on my ankle and ran to my father waiting for me, not daring to look back.
