Mess Me Up

Chapter 27

Harry's POV

I wonder why I am not Jena's type. Is there something wrong with me?  No! Is there just something she doesn't like about me? Maybe she just doesn't go for guys like this. I really didn't know. I liked Jena she was my type. She was gorgeous,  Smart, loving, caring, generous and a thousand other perfect things. I just didn't know how to tell her all these little things.

Jena's POV.

The next day, I am so excited since Austin is coming into town. He will be here sometime today in the afternoon. I couldn't wait. We were going to dinner all together as friends. And I don't know what else. But I really wanted him to meet the boys. I really think they would get along really well.

It's going to be so much fun if they get along. We can all hang out as friends together, and I couldn't be happier.

When I wake up I crawl out of my bed in disgust. I plop onto the floor. I then stand up and look into the mirror. I look horrible. My hair is ratchet. All my makeup is smeared from sleeping. My clothes are all twisted. I must have had a goodnight sleep. Good because I would need it. This was going to be a long day. Going over to Austin's moms. Wow I haven't seen her in the longest time. Eating dinner with him and Karli tonight. Just a friends night. It was going to be wonderful.

I honestly couldn't wait to see him. It feels like it's been forever. I really did miss him. We used to talk so much and we don't talk as much now. I wish we did. We are such good friends.

When I am out of the shower I put on a pair of jeans and with flip flops and a another one of my many Marilyn Monroe sweatshirts. I put on a black beanie with my hair down to top off the outfit. When Karli is ready she has on almost an outfit similar to mine. She has on jeans and flip flops. She has on a sweatshirt that says Queen in like a metallic color. She looks pretty.

When we are in the car we are both super excited.

"I can't wait to see Austin it's been like almost 3 years! " I say.

"Yeah. It's been way to long and I miss him. I wonder if he looks different " Karli says.

"Yeah I mean we look different. You got taller. Blonder. I cut my dark brown hair. My eyes got bluer I think. I got skinnier and slimmer. " I say

"Yeah a lot has changed the last couple of years" Karli says.

When we pull up to Austin's moms I park the car and we both step out. Remembering to grab my purse. I take one last look before walking up to the house with Karli next to me. I ring the doorbell and wait. A older lady around her 40s answers the door.

"Jena! Karli!" Helen says pulling us in for a hug before welcoming us in.

"Helen how are you?" I ask.

"Great and how about you?" she asks

"Excellent" I say.

"Well Austin will be here in about 20 minutes his stepdad is picking him up from the airport" Helen says.

"Ok, I am just excited to see him" Karli says jumping up and down.

"Yeah me too sweetheart. I really miss him. Ever since his dad and I broke up we haven't been that close" Helen says.

"Sorry" Karli says.

"Well come into the living room make yourself at home. Austin doesn't know that you two are coming. He just thinks it's us. I told him you guys were coming tomorrow. He is going to be so excited. He thinks you guys are off at collage and will coming into town tomorrow. " Helen says.

"Oh he is going to be so happy" I say sitting on the couch. I then make myself at home like the good ol' days. When we all were so close. When Helen was like a mother. When everyone was so happy.

"He is on his way here" Helen says.

"Ok " Karli answers

When the car pulls up. Karli and I run to the bathroom like Helen says to hide. I hear the door open and Austin get greeted by his stepdad and mother. She then tells him to go into the living room that dinner will be done shortly. Karli and I tiptoe out of the bathroom which is behind the couch. We then creep up on each side of the couch and plop down on it. Austin jumps up.

"Oh my gawd! What are you two doing here?" Austin says.

"We couldn't miss you coming home " I say as he kisses my temple.

"Of course we couldn't you're our best friend" Karli says.

"Oh I missed you guys" he says hugging us.

"Jena you look gorgeous" he says.

"Thanks" I answer

"Karli same for you. You look as pretty as ever" he says.

"Thanks austin" Karli says

After dinner we decide to play the wii. We stick in Super Mario Bros II. I am so competitive at this game.

After we are done playing it starts to get late so I tell Austin goodbye. I tell him about the dinner thing tomorrow. He says ok and that he would be glad to join. Oh how I am going to miss this when he leaves in a week.
