Since, in every story, there is a protagonist and an antagonist, I'm going to tag
myself as the protagonist since this is my story. And the antagonist, comes in the
form of Chrissy Domes, a mean girl but not that popular; and maybe that's why
she's so bitter. She's just one of those high schoolers that want to be known to
look cool, I guess.
Anyway, Liv told me that Chrissy wasn't really in my case before the accident.
I guess, she's just jealous that I'm getting more attention than she ever could.
And, no matter how much I tell her that I don't want the attention, or that
I'm not really competing with her when it comes to the social ladder, she would
only flip me off.
"Whatever. But I warned you. You're not popular because they like you. You're
popular because you're such a bad driver that you can't even remember how
to drive." She said once to me before flipping her very long hair, that it hit my
face, as she sashayed off the halls, while I was there silently pleading to whoever
was up in the heavens to let the high school drama end early.
Anyway, after a few weeks in school, less attention was being given to me, and I
couldn't explain how ecstatic I was about the change. Even Liv noticed my
good mood.
High school truly baffled me by this time, because I couldn't really grasp the
thirst of this people to be known and to be this person painted as someone
so 'cool and rad'. I don't get the need for attention and praise at everything
you do. I guess, that's the illusion of attention for you; it makes you feel wanted
when they just have nothing else to do in their lives but to watch you.
