ELINOR'S P.O.V.

I woke up in the bedroom I've been using the past three months. Since the day I got here, I've been working for Veronica Avandeyeva, the boss of the R.E.B.E.L.S' team. She used my help as a secretary, but also as a spy. She would occasionally ask me to keep an eye at her enemies, something I would do at ease.

As the time passed, I had learned some things about Veronica. She was very careful when it came up to revealing her Identity, but I've managed to steal some facts about her. She was delicate and strong at the same time. Ordering her men so many things. Coming up with so many strategical plans. She was smart and she was always polite to me.
The perfect leader.

Thus, considering how she acted when once, a new guard changed the order she had in the things on her desk, she might have had one weakness.

And that would be perfectionism.

She started yelling and almost killed that guard, since he already knew too much to be fired. After that, after making sure that everything was there, she placed the papers in a way, that they would be parallel to each other. I was secretly watching all the scene from the slightly, left-open door.

However, my wish to escape never vanished. As the time passed, I craved my freedom. I missed my friends. And I haven't managed to forget Jack. Why had he had two names, why'd he save me, all the things he said, what did they mean? I knew that something important was going on with him. I could feel it. And I wanted to know.

And as hard as I've tried to remove him from my thoughts, he'd come back, accompanied with some pictures, memories that I didn't knew I had. They were like dreams, but stronger. Like spirits, but with flesh and bones.

And by the end of my strange dreams with him, which often included pictures of us like we were a couple in love, I'd feel someone taking me from him, putting me under a machine and I'd watch Jack looking at me with that so familiar, sad and sorry look in his eyes. At that very moment, as the other man pulled a lever, pain filled every part of my body and I'd wake up screaming every single night in horror. That's why I tried not to fall asleep, but I wasn't strong enough for this...

Those nightmares, have started to come to the real world now. Even when I wasn't asleep, the thoughts would hunt me everywhere. They caused me shocks, uncontrolled breathing and they could play with my mind so easily.

I've had these bad dreams a long time ago, but Jacks face wasn't clear. In his place, was just a man, with no face at all, but with the same hair, until the day I met him. That was why he looked so familiar from the beginning.

And that was the reason I wanted to know, who he was. What did he want from me. And why wouldn't he tell me...

Deep inside I knew I had to find him, to get the answer I needed. To stop the nightmares. To set myself free from all of these things for once in my life...

I had now finished  dressing up and washing my face. I walked downstairs to the kitchen to eat breakfast.
Nobody was there. But I had noticed during my days in this place, that there were two body guards on each side of the back door and two at the kitchens' door. Which meant...
I couldn't escape.

As if I had decided that the opportunity to leave this place was today or never again, my mind started working, searching for ideas. My eyes were frantically falling on things and materials, as my mouth was tasting the salty taste of my omelette.
