"Mother!" I held the blanket up to my bare chest. The king had left earlier this mourning for a trip with his precious little daughter.
"What are you still doing in bed? The sun has risen! The kings gone you need to be taking care of today's work!" She grabbed the blanket and pulled me out of the bed. I tried to cover myself but she just pushed me into the wash room.
"Now don't come out until you're ready for make up and meet me in the dinning hall." She snapped. I sighed and looked at the maid waiting.
"What did I do to deserve this?" I whispered. She looked on in sorrow. The only one that's shown me empathy.
"I know dear. Now come get it I made sure to put warm water in when she wasn't looking so you won't be cold." I smiled thank fully and stepped down into the stone circle.
I moaned at the warmth and the smell of cinnamon.
After I was washed I was wearing a blue dress with my hair pulled up.
"You look beautiful." I jumped as I realized that my mother was standing behind my chair. "No need to fret."
I ate my breakfast quickly before leaving. I knew that she would take care of the kingdom so I took my chance and changed into riding clothes.
I ran out to the stable and grabbed the first horse I found. I jumped on with ease and kicked off.
I could see the edge of the kingdom coming up rather quickly. I smiled and begged the horse to go faster. Before I could get across I felt the all to familiar twist of branches.
Struggling to get free I could hear my mother laughing.
"Going somewhere Regina?" I glared still trying to free myself of the branches she enchanted.
"Mother." She set me down roughly.
"After all I've done to get you this life this is how you repay me?" She mended her fingers together in front of her.
"I don't want this life. I want to be free." Despite my Innocent look she didn't show mercy.
"Power is freedom. You're the Queen." That's not freedom. "And with my guidance you will be the Queen talked about all over the land." I looked at the ground.
"I don't want to be Queen!" I didn't see what happened next.
Months later in a different situation.
I woke up tied to a chair in my room. I struggled with the ropes.
"What the hell!?" I screamed. There was a dog sitting in front of me.
"Well Dearie, seems like you've gotten yourself in a pickle." I turned my head as far as I could only to see the scaly man.
"Get me out of this." I snapped. I giggled amused.
"And why would I do that?" He came around in front of me. "Have my lessons gone to waist?" I growled and closed my eyes. I knew better than that. These ropes would tighten with each struggle. I opened my eyes again and looked at the dog. I twitched my nose before whimpering. The ears perked up before I went behind me and started to tug at the ropes. I heard a snake and pulled the rope off.
"Well done dearie! Now talking to dogs never would have thought the Queen to talk to mutts." He teased praising me.
I glared with a smile.
"Comes in handy when your teacher doesn't know how." I pursed my lips before walking to the door. "Now unless you're going to kill my mother get out of my way." I growled."It's the Queen!" Villagers scrambled out of the way as I rode my horse. I wasn't accompanied nor did I pay attention to them. I was simply taking a ride. Out of the corner of my eye I saw a blonde on a brown horse that had various spots on its butt. I looked over at her to see that she was already looking at me. She didn't look scared nor did she look away from my gaze. Her eyes were this green that reminded me of someone I didn't care for. I looked away and kept riding.
Years later:
"We found the princess!" I stood up off my throne and smirked.
"Bring her in!" I shouted with glee. But instead of a brunette they drug in a blonde. She fought with all her might and managed to disarm one knight of their sword. She spun and knocked down both. I lifted my hand and froze her to her place.
"You come into my castle and kill my guards, yet you're not the one I wanted." I growled and walked to her. I moved the blonde trestle out of her face to see the blonde from those years ago. "Oh. You're Snow's run away daughter. Even better." Her eyes attempted to pierce through me but I refused to stand down. "Now I have a different plan. Death is much to good for Snow. Having her daughter in my possession is enough to send her over the edge." I grabbed her chin and started at her lips. "A pet will do just nicely." I whispered before pressing my lips in a seal against hers. I pulled back and she flowed an orange color before going back to the purple haze of my magic. Her magic was now sealed to mine.
