Chapter Eleven

Akevia's POV Tuesday 6:30 a.m.

I went downstairs and started cooking breakfast for me and Lupe. Starla had spent the night with ms. Hernandez (Lupe's mom). I made grits, eggs, sausage, and toast. I put Lupe's plate on the table then sat and ate my food. When I was done I washed my plate and walked upstairs to wake up Lupe.

I was so mad at Lupe yesterday. But after I had that dream about my son all the anger I had left. I really wanted us to be a couple again but I don't wanna rush back in the relationship to fast. I want to be sure we are both ready.

I knocked on the door and he told me to come in.

"I made you some breakfast if you're hungry."

Thanks babe. I'll be down in a few.

"Aight. And when you're done eating I want to talk to you"

Aight den.

I walked back downstairs and started cleaning up the place. When I was done sweeping I grabbed a wine cooler out the refrigerator and laid on the couch watching bad girls club. I know I'm pregnant but one drink can't hurt. Right when the good part was about to start Lupe came and turned it to the sports channel.

"What's your fuckin problem man!!"

I don't have a problem. What you want to talk to me about?

"Give me back the damn remote. I'm not playin with yo ignorant ass!!"

You need to check yo fuckin tone when you talkin to me. And stop cursing all the time.

"Last time I checked you are not my damn daddy. And I'm a grown ass woman so therefore I can say whatever I want!!"

Man whatever. I ain't got time to argue with yo ass. What is it that you want to talk about?

"*takes a deep breath* Well ummm...... I'm pregnant.

You're pregnant!??!

"Yep. I'm two months"

When did you find out?

"About a week and a half ago."

How long do we gotta wait before we find out what you're havin?!?!

"I think you find out when you're like 4 or 5 months."

Dang man. Me and Tyrus knocked you and Dez up at the same time.

"*laughing* shut up Lupe. O and I almost forgot to tell you Quishla and Shaun coming to visit us Thursday."

Aw shit!! I ain't seen them in a minute!! Are they bringing little Chastity?

"Ya. She coming with them."

Good! Starla will have a friend to play with. It's good she finally gets to meet her cousin.

"True. I'm bout to go out for a little while. I'll be back in a few hours."

Okay babe. I love you and be safe.

"Love you to."

Dez's POV 12:00 p.m

"Tyrus hurry yo ass up!! You gone make me late for my first checkup!!"

I was sitting downstairs waiting for Tyrus ass to get ready. I swear he acts like a female when it comes to dressing. If he ain't ready within the next 15 minutes I'm leaving his ass cause my appointment is at 1:30.

*********at doctors office*******

The doctors office was packed. I didn't want to be in the same room with all these sick people spreading their germs. We walked inside hand in hand up to the window.

Welcome to Sunhill Medical, how may I help you all today?

"I have an appointment scheduled with Dr. Phillips."

Just go right through that door over there and into room number 13.

"Okay thanks. And have a nice day."

We were sitting in the room for what felt like 3 hours. But was actually like ten minutes before Dr. Phillips came in.

How's the mom to be doing today?

"I'm doing fine."

I'm going to need you to lay back so we can take a look at the baby.

"Okay. Is this going to hurt?"

*laughs* No it's not going to hurt. I'm just going to squeeze some gel on your belly and look at the baby.

"Omg!! it's so cold!!"

Do you hear the baby's heart beat?

"Yeeeeessss!!"

O boy!!

"What is it?! Is something wrong with my baby?!"

No the babies are perfectly fine.

"Did you just say babies?"

Yes ms. brown. You are having twins.

Akevia's POV 5:00 p.m

I just got done buying me and the girls our own trap house. Since Lupe said I wasn't allowed at his trap. I decided to buy my own. Our trap was two blocks down from the fellows. So to keep from being to obvious I made it a hair and nail shop. I named it Passion. I even managed to hire a few workers. The upstairs of the shop is where our trap is located. Nobody will ever know about the upstairs except for the B.A. Girls. The interior decorators I hired were almost done furnishing the place. It had a pink and zebra print theme. The total cost of the place was about 50,000 dollars. And that was a very good price because the place is huge.

At 7:30 I left the shop headed to ms. Hernandez to pick up Starla. I missed my baby. I haven't seen her in a whole day. I know she's gonna freak out when I give her those Barbie Samoa's.

I pulled up in the driveway and got out. When I walked up to the door getting ready to knock I saw a note taped to the door. It read, "I'm going to get you and that little bitch real soon."

What the fuck?! Who would want to harm an innocent old woman and little girl. I got to get them out of this house cause it isn't safe. I folded the letter up and put it inside my purse. I decided not to tell mama Hernandez about this.

I knocked on the door and Star answered looking sad. I knelt down to her level and said,

"What's wrong sweety?"

I don't want to go home and leave grandma. *she had her arms crossed and lips poked out*

"Awww don't be upset, because granny is going to be staying with us for a little while"

Ms. Hernandez POV

I was in the kitchen washing dishes. Getting ready to put away the leftover dinner I made for me and Starla till I heard knocking on the door. I dried my hands off with the dish rag and headed towards the door. But when I made it there Starla had already let her mom in. I waved at Akevia then Star ran to me and wrapped her arms around my waist jumping up and down smiling from ear to ear.

"Why are you so happy child?"

Because mama said you are gone be staying with us!!

"Akevia, why do I have to stay with yall?"

I'll tell you tomorrow. Just go and pack you some clothes and stuff so we can go.

"Ummmm okay I guess."

I packed a lot of clothes cause I didn't know how long I was gonna be staying. Akevia looked really afraid about something. I wonder what's going on.
