Chapter Seven

Tyrus POV

I hopped in my blue 2014 Chrysler 300 to pay Lupe a visit. I was going to make him regret putting his hands on Akevia. Me and her grew up together. She was like my little sister. And when I found out what happened to her I went into full killer mode. Imma fucking ring his neck. I don't care that he's my boss. One of us ain't making out alive.

I pulled up in Lupe driveway. I got out and opened the door not bothering to knock. I was hungry so I went straight to the kitchen. Might as well grab something to eat before I kick his ass. O shit!! I ran to him as fast as I could. Boom!!

All the built up anger I had towards him left. I had to realize he is still my family and everybody makes mistakes. I made it to him just in time. Instead of shooting himself in the head I knocked it down and he ended up getting shot in the arm.

"Man what the fuck were you thinking?!?"

Why didn't you let me do it?

"Nigga you are my family. You got to much to live for."

Like what Tyrus. My life has been nothing but a mistake since I was born.

"Bruh you talking crazy. You got a daughter man. She needs you. She loves you! Akevia needs you!"

After what I've done she wouldn't want to talk to me again.

"You won't ever know until you try. Now get yo ass up so you can go to the hospital."

We got in my car and headed to the hospital. I called Dez and Akevia and explained to them what happened. And of course Akevia was panicking and going crazy. They said they would meet us there.

Akevia's POV

We left in my orange camaro. I was so mad at Lupe for what he did to me. But I still loved him with all my heart. When Tyrus told me he tried to commit suicide it hurt me. I actually could have lost the love of my life forever. And he doesn't even know I'm pregnant.

I went to the doctor last week for my yearly checkup and I had to pee in the cup. The doctor came back with the results and said everything was fine except I'm two months pregnant. I freaked the hell out. I told him to let me retake the test and when I did, it confirmed that I was indeed pregnant. Nobody knows I'm pregnant but me. I might as well let Lupe know now.

I walked in his room and he was sitting up in his bed laughing and joking with Tyrus. Tyrus stood up and gave me a hug then pecked Dez on the lips. I sat in the chair next to Lupe's bed. He looked at me and smiled. I turned my head the other way.

The room was so silent till Dez and Tyrus left out saying they were giving us some time alone to talk.

Baby I really am sorry. I don't know what came over me. I was just scared that you were leaving me. I can't live without you. I love you. Please talk to me.

"Don't do anything this stupid again! You scared me really bad. I thought I lost you forever."

I'm so sorry baby. When are you coming back home? It's lonely at home without my two girls there with me.

"Ummm I'm not sure. We might be back tomorrow. It all depends."

It depends on what?

"If you let me and my girls join the gang I'll come back home."

Hell no Akevia! I can't risk your life by letting you join the gang. Their are to many dangers in the hood.

"Well I guess I won't be coming home"

Dammit girl!! Aight, I'll let y'all join. But you can't sell drugs or come to the trap at all.

"Well what can I do then?"

I'll have Ricky bring you bags of money to count for me.

"I guess that'll work. And when we get home I just want to let you know, we are not sleeping in the same room."

I can understand that.

"Whenever you get out the hospital I have something important to tell you."

Why can't you just tell me now?

"Because I don't want to. When did the doctor say you'll be released?"

First thing tomorrow morning.

" Ok, love you. See you tomorrow."

I kissed him on the head and placed Star on his bed to say goodbye. But she was scared to talk to him so I picked her up. When I left that hospital I became a different person. I was no longer the kind and loving Akevia. I became Kevi, a heartless thug and I'm gone make it to the top. Just me, my girls, my boys, and my man.
