Chapter Nine

                                                 Thursday, 8:00a.m.
Samantha's  POV
I woke up and went to the kitchen to make coffee for Ethan and I. Windows surrounded the back wall of the living room with a glass door in the middle. It looked right out into the Canyon. It was absolutely beautiful outside, so I decided that Ethan and I would go on a hike to the lake.

Ethan walked into the kitchen with messy hair and a pair of sweat pants on with a sweat shirt.
E:Good morning beautiful!
S: Good morning.  I made you some coffee!
E: Thanks!
S:So I was thinking that we could go on a hike this morning. Its so beautiful outside.
E: Ya sounds good! But it's not as beautiful as you!
S: Oh stop it
I blushed and kissed him.
S: let me throw on some warm clothes.

I walking into my room and threw on some warm black leggings and a grey jacked with a purple vest and beanie. (Outfit below)

I walked into the living room and Ethan was waiting for me at the door. I smiled as we left the house and began to walk. As we walked he intertwined our fingers.

E: Damn, I've missed this so much.
S: ya... I've been dreaming of holding your hand again.
E: Well your dream just came true.
I smiled at him.
E: So Friday night we are meeting with DeAnne to go over the game plan of catching this guy. He's near the area so I'm going to start being a litter more strict and protective.
S: You don't have to be. This guy doesn't want me until he has Autumn.
E: What do you mean? Do you know why he's after y'all?!
S: Yeah
E: Well can you please tell me why!?
S: It all happened before-.......

E: Why didn't you tell me sooner.
S: Because I was scared that you were going to tell Grayson. I don't want Autumn to find out yet bc there's a chance I might loose her.
E: Samantha she has a right to know!
S: You don't understand! She thinks her mom moved here away from her dad because he didn't want her.
E: But she told Gray that he died.
S: Ya but she doesn't know how or when he died. Her mom wouldn't tell her. She's going to be crushed!
E: She needs to know babe. She needs to know what's going on, that's what is hurting her the most right now.
S: I know I'll tell her Friday I promise.

We got to the lake. There was a field of daisies surrounding the water. We sat down in the flowers. I looked at Ethan and looked down with a sad look.

E: What's wrong?
S: This is where you told me you were being deployed.
There was a minute of silence.
E: Saying goodbye to you was the hardest thing I've ever done.
S: I don't want you to ever leave me again but you have too.
E: I don't want to go either! If it was up to me I would stay here with you.
S: I just worry myself to death when your gone. You don't know what it's like waking up not knowing weather the love of your life is alive still.

He lifted my head up and starred into my soul.
E: As long as I have you in my heart, I'm going to be fine. Everyday I wake up you are my motivation! You are what I am fight for everyday. I'm constantly thinking of you. I love you Samantha.
He quickly put his lips on mine and kissed me softly.
S: I love you too.
