A month later Sunday, 6:00 pm Autumn's POV It's been about a month since the criminal was captured. Since my parents were home I decided to just have DeAnne call them to tell them the guy was captured. Grayson and Ethan continued to stay at Samantha's house.
Grayson and I have been doing great. We finally got to go on dates. Tonight he was meeting my parents. I was a little nervous because I've never brought a boy home. As I helped my mom cook I heard my phone buzz.
Gray💞: Can't wait for tonight! On my way! Me: I can't wait to see you!😘
I decided to just stay in my church clothes since dinner was going to the some what of a nice event.(outfit below)

Gray's POV I was a little nervous driving to Autumn's house but I knew how much this would mean to her. I wore a black long sleeve shirt with jeans. I've been spending as much time as I can with her before.....well I won't think about that right now.
I walked up to the door and took a deep breath. I knocked and Autumn was there with a cute smile on her face. I walked in and was greeted by her mother. (M= her mom and SD=her Step dad)
M: Oh hello Grayson! It's very nice to finally meet the boy that my daughter blushes to every time she says your name. G: Its very nice to meet you too Mrs.John!
I looked at Autumn and her face was red from her mom's comment.
M: Daryl( Autumn's step dads name) dinners ready. SD: Well is this Mr.Dolan? G: Yes sir.
He shook my hand. We all sat down at the table. Autumn sat next to me and her parents sat across from us. SD: So Autumn told us that you were enlisted in the army when you were 16. How is that. G: My rankings were higher than most. SD: impressive. So you'll know how to protect my little girl. G: of course sir!
Autumn's POV Does my step dad really like him? Wow. I'm not complaining or anything. That's just not what I was expecting.
M: So are you back home for good? G: I'm not sure. I came here for the holidays and I haven't been deported yet. He put his hand on my thigh. He knew I didn't want him to leave. And he did good with the cover up. We finished eating and my mother and I did the dishes while my step dad and Gray continued to talk at the table. And I heard everything.
SD: Do you love my daughter? G: Yes Mr.John with all my heart. SD:Good. She's been through a lot and for some reason you make her shine a little bit brighter! G: She makes me a better person everyday. I promise Sir that I will never let anything bad happen to her. SD: I trust you Mr.Dolan and if you do I might have to kill you. (Starts laughing).
I smile and go back into the dinning room. A:Hey Gray, do you want to go get some fro-yo? G: Sure! A: Okay lets go! G: Thank you for having me Mr. and Mrs. John. M:Goodbye Grayson!
We got into his car.
Grayson's POV A:that went well! G: Ya, they loved me! A: ya I'm not surprised. G: You're so beautiful.
I looked at her and she smiled big.
We got our fro-yo and decided to take a walk. I knew I had to tell her about Ethan and I. This should be a good time.
G: Ummm...Autumn..... A: Ya? G: Ethan and I are being deported in two days. A: Wha-what why didn't you tell me!?! G: Because I didn't want you to focus on that. I want us to spend as much time as we could together without any worries!
We stoped walking and stood facing each other. A: How long will you be gone? G:I'm not sure. I'm hoping just a year but you never know.
I could see her eyes fill with tears. G: Oh babe, please don't cry! A: I'm going to miss you so much!! I don't want to let you go!
G: Don't worry we will constantly look out for each other because that's what we do. You're the only thing that I care about. We have known each other for about a month. But it didn't take long for me to realize that you're the one. I hate seeing you hurt and I hate that I'm the reason you're feeling that way. I'm sorry that I made you love me. A: If I have to pay for a future with you with a few years of pain then fine! I'll pay that fee happily because I love you and only you. You are all I have and that's enough for me. But I am not sorry for loving you!
I put down my fro-yo cup and cupped her face to kiss her. It wasn't easy telling her that I was leaving. ---------- I spent the night with Autumn the night before Ethan and I were leaving. She curled up next to me and slept peacefully. God I was going to miss this...miss her.
Autumn's POV The next morning I woke up next to Gray. I kissed his cheek and he slowly woke up.
G:good morning beautiful. He rolled on top of me and began to kiss me. A: Do you have to go. G: I don't want to. A: then don't. G: Babe, you know I can't do that
He got up and put on his uniform. I got up and put on some jeans and one of Gray's sweatshirts. He turned around and smiled. A: Can I keep it? G: Of course! We walked out and got into my car to drive him to the air port. The car ride was silent. Neither one of us wanted to say 'goodbye'
We walked in a saw Samantha and Ethan hugging. She didn't look as sad as she did last time when Ethan was deported.
Grayson grabbed my hand so that I would face him. G:I love you. A: Don't say that like you're saying goodbye! G: I love you in every way that I can. And I'll miss you most. A: I will miss you everyday and I will long for the day that you will be home permanently.
He hugged me and gave me one last kiss. The hardest thing was letting go of his hands as he walked away. I got chills. Just a year.....I can handle that....or can I?
