Emily's POV:
How do I start this? Oh, I know! It was a warm summer day, and- no. That's not right. Let's try this again. Once upon a time there was a girl who- what am I doing? Why don't I just start from the beginning?
Have you ever moved houses? Towns? Schools? Now, how about states? Well I...I did all four. I moved from Huston, Texas to Rosewood, Pennsylvania. It's a small town with perfect people. Literally, everyone is perfect. But, before I get too deep into detail, please allow me to introduce myself.
My name is Emily Fields. I'm a straight A sophomore, who swims competitively. I'm 16 years pot and I like to read and write. I started at Rosewood Day High School when I was a freshman. That year, I met four interesting girls, who are now my life line. But, one of the four girls didn't really approve of me. And she still doesn't. Her name is, Alison Dilaurentis.
Alison Dilaurentis is the Queen Bee of Rosewood High. Everyone, even the seniors, are afraid of her. She knows everyone's secrets somehow. And when she needs to, she uses them against you when you're at your most vulnerable point. She's dating some football jock on the varsity team, by the name of Noel Kahn. When I first met Alison, it wasn't the greatest moment of my life.

Flashback:
Emily's POV:
I was walking through the halls of my new school, my head was down, and I made sure not to bring attention upon myself. I got to my locker, grabbed my things, and then walked to my class. Then, I suddenly bumped into someone. Mine and their books fell to the ground. I stopped and bet down to pick them up.

Emily: "Oh my god, I am so sorry. I didn't mean to run into-"

Voice: "Don't. Get away from me freak."

I stood up with our books in my hand. I handed them to her.

Emily: "It was...it was just an accident." I gulped.

Girl: "Is that what the doctors told your mom at the hospital?" She cocked her head to the side and smirked at me devilishly.

The other three girls behind her had their heads down. I wanted them to say something, but they didn't. They only shook their heads in disappointment.

Girl: "Let's go ladies."

Small brunette: "Alison, don't you think you were a little hard on her? It was just an accident." She said a little timid.

Alison: "Hush Aria. Maybe she should watch where she's going." They all continued walking.

End of flashback.

That day only got worst. We had literally every class together. She tortured me all my freshman year. Even when I was apart of their little group. She didn't exactly like it, but she delt with it. It was hard most of the time. She would call me names and make fun of me everyday. Every class. Every second. Then summer came. I saw a different side of her. The real side of Alison. The one side she only showed me. And I liked it. A lot, actually. Only when we were alone she showed it to me, and it felt great. I learned a lot about Alison. And here's what I learned.
She's only mean to fit other people's expectations. A couple of seniors made her into who she is when she was only in 7th grade. They taught her how to make people fear her. And if she didn't do what she was told, she was always punished. Being forced to eat so much food infront of guys, having to sit with the outcast kid who picked his nose and ate it. And worst. So Alison always obeyed them. And now, she's too scared to go back to how she was, because she thinks she's going to get punished even worst now because she's older. She told me these things in confidence. And I grew to love her. Actually, I fell in love with her. And I think she knew it too. But, she abused that knowledge infront of others.
She tried outing me to the group a few times. One time she tried on a long, black, feathery dress and asked if she looked hot. But she directed it at me. I shrugged it off and said the feathers looked really nice on her. But when we were alone, she didn't mention anything about it. Quite the opposite actually, she would cuddle into me when we watched movies. Or would be on our phones. I never tried anything with her, I respected her being with Noel. She really seemed to be happy with him, and who am I to destroy that? But one day, something happened. I practically let her know I was in love with her.
