The Talk

Emily's POV:
   During the middle of AP History, I got a text.

From Alison: "Hey. Meet at my house after school?"

To Alison: "Yeah."

   From that point on it kept me thinking...what did she want? The day went by awfully slow. I looked at the clock and it read '12:30'. I stared at it for five minutes and it read '12:31'. I groaned. An hour and a half left and this is really boring. After what seemed like an eternity, the bell rang and I was now able to go home and then to Alison's.
   I got in my car, drove home, changed, and then went to Alison's. It still scares me that she texted me to come over. What could she possibly want? We used to hang out alone. But not at her house. Never at the Dilaurentis house. Ali never liked having friends over, between her and I, her parents fight all the time. I pulled up to her house, I took a deep breath and walked up to the porch. I raised my hand and knocked on the door. A few seconds later she answered the door. A smile grew on her heart shaped face.

Alison: "Hi Em."

Emily: "Hey."

I walked in and sat on the couch.

Emily and Alison: "So, I was...you first..Okay, I'll go. Okay."

Emily: "Why am I here Ali?"

Alison: "To talk."

Emily: "About what?"

Alison: "You. Me. Us.."

Emily: "Go on.."

Alison: "I really like you Em. I do want to be with you. I mean look at you. You're so smart, funny, kind, caring, passionate, outgoing, brave, and outrageous. You're my best friend. I get all of these butterflies when I'm with you. I feel like I can be myself. I feel as if I'm at home with you. You make me so happy, and you barely try to. I want you Emily. I just couldn't admit it. Because if I did, not only would Rosewood's Queen Bee be with a girl, my parents would see me differently."

Emily: "Everything made that touching, except the Queen Bee part. But I get the message. Alison Lauren Dilaurentis, will you be my girlfriend?"

Alison: "Yes."

Emily: "I've been waiting for the day you came out to me as a lesbian."

Alison: "Em.."

Emily: "What?"

Alison: "I do like you, but I'm still attracted to guys. I should've said something. I was too caught up in our moment. I'm bisexual."

Emily: "Oh..that's okay."

I lied. That wasn't okay. Alison liking guys and girls? That's more competition for me. I can't do that. There are so many guys that she'll find hot. What if she leaves me for them? Ali and I spent the rest of the day talking about school and other things. When I got home, I laid in bed thinking about her. BISEXUAL. I'm lucky enough we're together, but guys too? Ugh, I need to get my mind off of this and go to sleep.
