Before he could answer my question Gina burst into the room in a state.
"Where's Luke?" She asked. She looked over to the bed. She stared emotionless.
"Gina, the doctors here to tell you the final news..." I held her hands in sympathy.
"What's the final news?" She asked getting frustrated.
"Well, Gina, you have 2 choices. 1: We keep Luke on life support or 2: We turn off the life support, there is no other way to help him. I will give you some time to think." He left the room obviously uncomfortable.
"What do you want to do?" I asked staring at the floor.
"I don't know..." She stared at the floor then fast walked out of the room.
I walked over to Luke's side.
"Luke, no matter what happens, you were one of my best friends... And always remember that..." A tear slid down my face. I couldn't fight the tears.
"I don't want you to die..." I sat there sobbing by the bed side. The long beep hadn't help to.
HIS HEART HAS FUCKING STOPPED!!!!!
"Someone help, his heart has stopped beating! Someone..." As soon as I had finished the shouting business I was lead out of the room.
I rang Gina to tell her to come back down to the hospital. After 5 mins she appeared at the scene.
"We have some bad news... Luke has passed away..." He stared at the floor.
"The life support had stopped working, I'm so sorry..." He walked down the corridor while nurses followed after him.
We walked into the room. I looked over to Gina who looked like she had been struck by lightning. We sat by his side for 2 hours in silence. I got up and said to Gina "Come with me." I held out my hand signalling for her to come.
"Where are we gonna go?" She sniffled.
"To somewhere that will help us feel a little better." I gave her a warm smile.
We drive down to a small lake with a beautiful view.
"Thanks so much for cheering me up a bit..." She stared aimlessly at the ripples in the water.
"Well it's a good place for a good view." She hugged me and kissed my forehead.
