The three boys walk down the creaking stairs, entering darkness.
A faint smell of droppings fills the room, leaving the room damp.
"What are we looking for again?" Jhope asks, being forgetful.
"A letter," Jimin says.
They scramble, looking underneath dusty boxes and furniture.
Cobwebs decorate the corners of the room.
Namjoon gets a weird feeling and orders the frantic humans to halt; they do as he says. He then flicks the stiff switch and a deep yellow light flickers on. The light hangs in the left corner of the room, barely illuminating that corner, let alone the full room.
Jimin and Jhope rush over to the light and spot a letter.
Jimin reaches out to take the letter, "Dont!" Jhope pulls Jimins pale hand away.
"What was that for?"
"Is it the right one Namjoon?" Jhope ignores Jimin,
"Does it look like what the elf described?"
It does.
When Jhope put his attention on Namjoon, Jimin picked up the letter.
"Open it," Jhope says to Jimin.
Jimin reads the red writing on the front, "To Who It May Concern," Jhope then reads it too. Jimin turns the envelope around and notices the black stamp which seals it. He picks the black stamp until he hears a slight tear, then fully opens it.
A yellow-brown note was inside.
Jimin pov.
As I pulled the note out of the envelope a smell filled the room; it smelt like an empty church. Dust is left on my finger tips as I begin to read. "Jimin read it!" Jhope orders eagerly.
Dear humans,
I am glad you have recieved my letter.
I have chosen you to eliminate a certain being, one that is most certainly melevolent. I am the one who has been watching your every movement since you first entered my forest. Luckily, for you, I have organised a weapon for you to use. You only have one strike with this dagger, it is coated in poison. This poison will not harm you, only the one I have instructed you to kill will be harmed... unless you arent careful.
To complete this task, you must eliminate this being with a deep, clean cut. Across her throat.
She isnt easily trickable so you must have your witts about you.
I have enclosed a photo within this letter.
You have thirteen hours.
