River and The Doctor walked outside to see that Shila had disappeared and everyone else was still sitting on the couch talking. The Doctor obviously noticed that Shila was missing, so he whispered something in River's ear, which made her smirk, then the Doctor disappeared to look for Shila.

The Doctor found Shila in her room. She was sitting on the bed and in her hands she held a little blue book. The Doctor noticed it and gasped, realizing that it was the book that he had given River. The Doctor stepped into her room, making himself noticeable. Shila gasped and tried to hide the book.

'What's that?' The Doctor asked.

'What's what?' Shila asked, trying to hide the fact that she had the book.

'There's no point in trying to hide that from me, I saw it.' The Doctor said, smiling.

'John, I was told that I wasn't allowed to show you.' Shila said quietly.

'All the more reason for me to look at it.' The Doctor said.

'Melody gave it to me to look at.' Shila said, handing over the book.

'Yes, it appears that way.' The Doctor said, looking at the cover. Unknown to Shila, the Doctor had given that exact book to River and knew it well.

The Doctor flipped it over in his hands, but didn't open it. He knew that this was like River's diary, he didn't want to see anything she didn't want him to see, and also because he knew there were spoilers in there to his future.

'It's a beautiful book, lovely cover.' The Doctor said, smiling. 'Everyone's on the couch, do you want to come and talk?'

'Nah, I'm gonna keep looking through this.' Shila said, holding up the book.

The Doctor smiled and walked away, needing to talk to River. Once he was back out in the living room, he tapped River on the shoulder and motioned to his room. River nodded and followed.

'You gave Shila your book to look through?' The Doctor asked after the door had been closed.

'Yeah, that's none of your business what I gave her.' River said angrily.

'I wasn't objecting. I think its lovely.' The Doctor said, smiling at her.

'Oh. Ok then.' River said.

'By the way, if you're worried, I didn't read anything.' The Doctor said.

'Good.' River muttered.

'Sorry, what was that?' The Doctor asked.

'Nothing. As for you, you should get some sleep, training starts tomorrow at 10.' River said.

'By the way, I know Time Lords don't usually need sleep, but just get some, ok?' She added quietly as she walked past the Doctor.

'Yeah.' The Doctor said. River left and the Doctor went to take a shower.

Shila was in her room reading the little blue book Melody gave her. After a while, she noticed Melody standing in her doorway.

'Hello sweetie.' Melody said.

'Hi Melody.' Shila said.

'Please, call me Mel, Shila.' Melody said with a smile.

'Ok, you can call me Shi if you like.' Shila said.

'Sure. Is that what your parents call you?' Melody asked.

'Yeah, it's my nickname at school as well.' Shila said.

'Shi, are you enjoying my little book?' Melody asked.

'Oh, it's great. I love reading the stories about you and your Doctor.' Shila said happily. 'They're very interesting.'

'Yeah, we've had some good times, bad times, other times...' Melody said, trailing off.

'I have a question.' Shila said suddenly.

'What is it Shi?' Melody asked.

'Why were you in Stormcage?' Shila asked.

'Well, if you keep reading it might tell you.' Melody said, winking.

'Ok.' Shila said, smiling.

'I think its time for bed, don't you?' Melody said.

'Yeah, that's probably a good idea.' Shila said through a yawn.

'Come here.' Melody said, opening her arms and Shila moved into them.

'John has a secret. I think its about you. He may or may not tell you but I'll get it out of him.' Melody whispered into Shila's ear during the hug. Shila nodded slightly. 'And don't worry about the games, I think I know someone who is perfectly capable of protecting you.'

'Now, hop into bed and I'll tuck you in.' Melody said gently.

Shila hopped into bed and Melody tucked the covers around her.

'Goodnight sweetie.' Melody said quietly.

'Goodnight Mel.' Shila said, already falling asleep.

Melody left, turning out the lights and closed the door as she went.
