The ropes around my wrists were so tight that they were turning my blistering skin red, and the bag over my head made it very hard to breathe. I felt as though my captures wanted me dead, rather than alive.
I mean, maybe they did. Maybe this was all a game. Maybe they were playing me, trying to get me on my knees. Waiting for me to give in and beg them for mercy. But I would never give them that satisfaction. They would never hear the sweet sound of my voice begging for release.
I will fight till my last breath, and that is where I seem to be headed, to my death.
