Luna's Moonlight

Chapter 7

I stood in the dance hall alone I felt so lonely, restless and nervous. I looked around and everyone turned and looked at me. I spun around and the music started back up. I whimpered and whined looking for someone I knew- nobody was there that I knew. I danced my way through the crowd and found Adam-or what looked like Adam. I saw his face go pale and bags were under his eyes. He has bloodshot eyes.

I got scared and backed away he grabbed my arm and pulled me close. I tried to break free and as soon as I did I danced my way quickly through the crowd, him not too far behind. I ran out of the school and turned to Luna. I get to the lake and I lay on the ground looking into the shimmering bright lake. I sensed him not too far away.

I stand and there was his Alpha form I whimpered and whined. He limped over to me and bowed his form. I flinched and he noticed I whipped out of form. He got out of form too and hugged me I flinched again. He whispered "I am sorry I look scary.....it's just I haven't felt well for a while now" I looked at him worried and I shifted to form. He shifted back to form and I put him on my back and I ran.

I get to the doctors and set him down on the bed. The girl nurse gives him these flirty looks and he just looks away. I gave her the this is my mate look. Then, the male doctor came in and checked him up and said it's a virus that can get treated easily. I sat there in the hospital with him-he slept most of the time I stayed there by his side awake as day.

I had Max and Bell come up and they stayed with me. I was so tired I wanted sleep but I stayed awake. The next morning, Adam woke up with a shout. I woke up startled and saw him looking at me with confusion. I smiled and stood up his doses were over with.

"Grace, you should have went home. Bell, Max, what are you doing here?" Adam-or who is Adam says in a ton of emotions

"I stayed because I care about you and I invited them cause I was worried and they helped me get through the night. " I replied

"We agree with her Adam." Bell and Max says in agreement

"Fine, I am going back to the pack house. Grace I love you come home if you need to." Adam says getting up and leaving

"What's his problem?" I ask Bell and Max

"He does this when he is mad, frustrated, confused and sad. He should be back to normal within a week or two. You will be okay." They say leaving

I sat there dumbfounded I wanted to run after them but I AM HIS MATE SO I WON'T BE OKAY IF HE IS GONE FOR TWO WEEKS!!!!!! I sat there upset. I was told to get out of the hospital so I did. I sat alone on a rough trunk in the woods. My dress gently resting on the trunk. I was hurting I felt him hurting so bad I didn't understand why. I heard a twig snap and there stood a lone wolf.

I turned to wolf form and he just snarled. I just paced and circled him then he pounced on me. I didn't howl I fought him for over 30 minutes. I smelled rotten meat again and I bucked him off of me. I was hurting in my head I heard growling and snarling. Then I heard a familiar voice "Through my death war will come" I howled and killed the wolf. I ran into the woods listening to the familiar whispers.

I peeked through the bushes and saw Adam going insane. I kept silent. I looked at him on his knees growling and snarling in so many emotions I just watched him he was suffering and i looked closer and he looked around and next thing you knew. I saw him go into the lake he was fully naked my eyes were glued on him.

He went into the lake and stayed in there. I waited for hours and hours-I walk stealthily to the lake not making a sound. I peered into the water and he just stood at the bottom. I remembered more of the legend When the mate of the light wolf feels like he will die he will go to the bottom of the lake and next thing you know you will know he is not your mate light wolf; you need to find your mate and he isn't Adam he is James your mate is at the pack wolf that was an imposter wolf named James I cried. I couldn't believe it. I ran off and I changed my schedule to be away from my old homeroom.
I went to the pack house and saw Adam there. I growled and paced. He growled and paced back at me. I looked into Adam's eyes and I walk over and I give him the potion to remove any disguise. No disguise came off then I hugged him. He pet my head and I whimpered and whined. He glared down at me but I finally felt the safety, comfort, love, care, everything that I have been wanting to feel. He didn't speak.

"Adam? I am sorry." I started

"Yes, its me. It is okay I just was lonely." Adam says distantly

"Okay, I was lonely too." I said distantly

He looked at me and wiped my memory. I fell to the ground and I ended up in a prison cell. I awoke and there I lay in chains. I recognized it. I cried and thought what did I do.
