Present day:
It's been a year since Shadow and Silver had met.
Shadow is wondering the halls of her school when she sees a boy with silver hair and silver eyes. They make eye contact. Shadow rushes over to him and he hugs her.
They talk until the bell rings. They both have the same classes so they head to English arts first. They sit next to each other since they haven't seen each other in a while. Their teacher tells them that they have to do a project with the person there sitting next to.
They have to do a project on a book that both of them have read. Shadow and Silver chose the Hunger Games. They decided to not do any of the work in class and just talk.
"Where have you been?" Shadow asks Silver.
"What do you mean?" Silver asks.
"Why are you just going to school this year?" Shadow asks.
"Ummmmmmmm." Silver says. "I was homeschooled because I got bullied at school."
"Oh. What were you bullied for?" Shadow asks Silver. Shadow could tell that Silver was lying. He was sweating and shaking.
"M-my silver hair a-and eyes. People said I-I looked old." Silver stutters.
"Why are you lying?" Shadow asks.
"I'm not allowed to tell anyone." He says.
"But you can trust me, right?" Shadow asks.
"Fine, I wasn't in school because I am the Night." He answers.
What is the Night?Is all that's going through Shadows head in that moment.
The bell rings and they all leave but Silver just leaves the school. Shadow follows him but when she gets outside he is right in front of her but then his wings appear and he flies off.
Silver's wings are a beautiful, shimmering silver. Shadow just looks at him in the sky when he then looks at her. He gives her a smile then fly's off.
