She steps out of the Maserati Alfieri and looks toward the palace that her soon to be parent-in-laws own. Her fiancee comes around and gathers her in his arms. She leans into his embrace as they walk to the front doors where his father greets them. He embraces the both of them in a welcoming hug. Once he lets them go, her fiancee runs inside to see his mother. Her and the father walk inside, "Ah my figlia! Congratulations on graduating from law school! Have you thought about what firm you are going to work for?"

"I was hoping I could work for you. I love on what your firm does and I would like to be part of it."

The father smiles widely, "Well with that being said I need to talk to you about something of extreme importance. Come, let us go to my office so we can talk."

They head to his office but not before passing the kitchen to say hello to the mother. Once in his office, he tells her to take a seat and sits behind his mahogany desk. He folds his hands and rest them on top of some files. "As you may know, Niccolo does not wish to take over my position and I am respecting his wishes. But I need someone to take over for me mainly because I want to retire and enjoy some time with María. So Liu, I am going to offer you to take my position."

Liu's charcoal eyes light up,"A-are you sure? I mean I would love to take over for you but do you think I'm up to it?"

The old man chuckled and rises from his chair. He places his hands on her shoulders and looks deep into her eyes, "Figlia. If I thought you weren't capable then I wouldn't have asked. You would be amazing. You graduated top of your class and I have seen on how you can play the jury like a fiddle."

Tears spring to her eyes has he states this. She springs to her feet and hugs the man. "I would gladly take over for you, Papi!" She cheers.

"I'm happy to hear that. Now you must know something. The firm is just a cover up for the real job I have." He confesses.

She pulls back from he embrace and looks at him in confusion, "Real job?"

He scratches the back of his head, "Ah, yes. Have you know of the underground correct?" She nods in conformation. "Well I am the head of all of the mafias that are in the underground. and with you taking my position means that you would be the new head."

She gazes at him. "So I would be in charge of the underground?"

"You would be in charge of the mafia's portion. The entire underground is ran by four people and if you still take my offer I will set up meeting with the others tonight."

Liu gazes out the window, weighing the pros and cons of what she had just been asked to do. Sure she is a damn good lawyer and would be able to provide protection from the law. She looks back at Papi and with a smirk and fire in her eyes states, "Go ahead and set up that meeting. I would love to see who my fellow leaders are."

She struts out of the room as the father lets out exuberant shouts. She makes her way to the dining room where María and Niccolo wait. She informs them that Papi will be down soon and that he just had to make a few call. Once he enters the room they start to dig into the ambrosia meal that María had made. As the others talk with each other, Liu smiles to herself and wonders on what her partners in crime will be like.
