He was just a broken pianist
Who cannot hear the notes
His world was in monotone
A human metronome

She was sick
With something incurable
She loved him since
The first piano recital

When they met
His world turned to color
She accused him
For being a pervert

She could play violin
He played piano
He accompanied her
And didn't regret it

She was hospitalized
All friends were scared
Would the girl who brought color leave?
Or would she be a survivor

Another girl liked him as well
Her name was Tsubaki
They had been neighbors
She always loved him

Tsubaki saw their relationship
And backed off
But she was jealous
Inside her heart

A surgery was found
To save her life
It was risky,
But she gave it a shot

Something went wrong
She has died
He became saddened
And started to cry

She left him a letter
Which held the late message
Kaori loved Kousai
He loved her back

It was too late
No relationship could bloom
She was his guardian angel
The human metronome.
