Chapter 20: She Left

Dillenna Heera's Point of View:

I thoughtlessly wore something and stormed out the house. Hindi na ako nakapagpaalam kay Nanay Lucy. Siguro, magdamag silang nasa bar at ngayon lang nakauwi. Aggh! Sira-ulo na ba talaga siya? Talagang malalagot siya sa mga magulang ko't mga magulang niya kapag nalaman nila 'to!

"Please Janicca. Umalis ka na. Baka madatnan ka pa ni Heera dito."Gavin told the girl na nakatalikod sa'kin.

"Gavin, Matthew dumped me even though he knew I love him and it's all because of that woman! Now, I'm taking whatever is hers!"

Pinanunood ko lang sila. Parang praning na umatake si Janicca sa isang lalaking nakahiga sa sofa. She kissed him! Nanlaki ang mga mata ni Gavin nang marealize na dumating na pala ako.

"Heera."

Biglang bumigat 'yong mga mata ko. Tears are threatening to fall again.

"Janicca, maligo ka muna. Nakakadiri ka."I tried to be strong. I grabbed her away from my drunk and jerk husband. "Gavin. Can you help me with him?"

As I drive him home, drunk as fuck, walang tigil sa pagtulo 'yong luha ko. Wala akong maintindihan sa mga nangyayari. Hindi ko na nga alam kung ano ang nararamdaman ko maliban sa nasasaktan ako.

"Don't say that Heera. Alam mo ba kung ano'ng nararamdaman ko habang nakikita kang ganito? I'm sad, pained and angry with myself because if only I wasn't a jerk, you wouldn't have to go through all these things. Masaya sana tayong dalawa ngayon."He's also crying! "Heera, mahal na mahal kita."

He looked straight into my eyes and leaned down slowly. Ang lakas ng tibok ng puso ko. I closed my eyes as our lips met. I feel the urge to kiss him back as he placed his hands around my waist. He deepened the kiss. Slowly, we moved towards the bed. I feel a strange feeling; it makes me escape from all the pain and perplexity in life. He continued kissing me as he's on top of me. A burning sensation rushed throughout my veins as he rained kisses on my neck.

"Matt..."

He closed my lips by brushing his lips to mine. I feel so lost and I don't want everything to end.

"I love you Heera..."

I felt his left hand slowly unbuttoning my blouse. I immediately opened my eyes and woke up from a sweet dream I can never have again.

"This is wrong Matt. I'm sorry."

I got up and opened the door for him. He stood on the doorway and gazed at me.

"It's the best thing that has ever happened to me Heera. I won't be sorry just because it's wrong. It feels so good to know how much you still love me. I love you Heera."he reached for my hands and kissed each of them. "You're too good for him. You're meant for me. You were supposed to be meant for me. That's something I will always be sorry for. Everything slowly returned to my mind as well as the feeling I haven't anticipated to be as great as it was when it happened. Oh! What have I done!? Stupid Dillenna! It's impossible. You and he are examples of impossibility. You're married. You're married. You're married, unfortunately, to the man who has just wrecked your world, your life, your happiness.

I WENT DOWNSTAIRS to talk to Nanay Lucy. Sa halip ay nadatnan ko sa kusina si Theon. Nakatitig lang siya sa kawalan habang hawak ang baso ng tubig.

"Kumusta ang pagba-bar niyo?"

Nabigla siya at napatayo ng maayos. Nilagok niya ang laman ng baso at saka ako tiningnan. Ilang sandali ay nagtitigan lang kami.

"Wag mo ng gawin 'yong ginawa niyo kagabi. Hindi sa pinakikialaman kita, pinapahiya mo na naman kasi ang mga magulang natin."I said but he didn't say a word. "I'm leaving. You can bring anyone at home maliban kay Janicca. Landiin mo na lahat ng babae sa mundo. Wag lang siya Theon. Nakakadiri."

Bumalik ako sa kwarto at kinuha ang naghihintay na maleta sa'kin. I don't feel defeated at all. Mabigat man 'yong dibdib ko habang papalayo ako sa bahay ay sa tingin ko naman, tama lang ang ginawa ko.

Umuwi ako sa'min. Ang tahimik ng bahay. Saka ko lang narealize na masyado pala talagang malaki ang bahay para sa'ming tatlo. Walang ni isang katulong sa bahay.
