Prologue

Matthew James' Point of View

After receiving Bryce' text message, I hurried immediately to the gymnasium. Coach didn't tell us about having a practice today. What makes it more annoying is it seemed I'm the only one who's not informed about it. They already are there. I, the captain ball, am still here waiting for Dillenna to pass. For two weeks now, I haven't talked to her.

"Shit man, nasa'n ka na? Naiinis na si Coach! You won't be happy if you'll know what he has just told us."Bryce blabbered from the other line.

My forehead turned to frowns on its own. I have a feeling that something is going wrong. Feeling the jittery of whatever Bryce is referring to, I hurriedly rushed to the gym.

My eyes landed to the man beside Coach Kier. It's Liam. Liam Kan, the former captain ball of the basketball varsity for almost four years. For few minutes, my feet are nailed to where I stood up. Just right before my brain started to function again, they already have scattered to their designated places and started the practice.

I was about to head out when I unintently noticed a figure on the bench. In pronounced disbelief, I blinked for a few times. Nothing changed.

It's really her. It'sDillenna Heera... serving water to the players.
