The night was a fairytale. We talked about everything under the sun, I had my first root beer float and John showed up with Cyn. It was a great time. George and I walked home by ourselves, since we were done earlier then John and Cyn, who had announced that they were back together and are more in love than ever. I was happy for them.
"I had a lot of fun tonight George. It was better that you came with me, I would've been bored out of my mind without you."
I let out a little laugh. I was a little nervous for some reason but after I saw George smile I wasn't nervous anymore.
"I had a great time, too. We should do this again sometime. I would've been bored also. It was just my parents and I for dinner."
"Well I'm glad I got you out." I said shakily.
"Me too."
We both grinned, his crooked teeth showing as his smile widened.
"Well, bye George."
Without any thought we both kissed right there in the middle of the street. Quickly we pulled away a little shocked at what the other had done. Our eyes locked, and we smiled.
"I guess this is the perfect time to tell you that I kind of fancy you" George chuckled nervously as he stared at the ground.
I giggled and agreed. We looked at each other one last time before parting ways.
I arrived home to find Paul and my sister sitting on the couch laughing hysterically.
"What's so funny?" I asked the two of them.
They turned around, slightly startled by my intruding on their conversation but answered happily after they caught their breathe.
"Paul and I were talking about school. You know how I skipped a grade and all, but we were talking about the time someone used the bathroom in the gym."
I joined in on the laughter remembering that time.
"By the way how was dinner? Who did you eat with?" My sister added
I blushed thinking about what had just happened.
"It was great. Terrific. I ate with George, John and Cyn. By the way Paul, Cyn and John are back together."
"Well that's good." Paul stated, genuinely happy.
The couple went back to giggling and whispering. That was my cue to go to my room, and that is exactly what I did. When I got to my room there was a note lying on my bed. From whom I don't know but I was excited.
"I want you to be mine... ~George."
I gasped quietly but couldn't contain the emotions I was feeling.
*Christmas Eve*
If this wasn't going to be the best day I don't what would be. I was going to spend the days with the boys and just the boys. We were going to exchange Christmas gifts, and after that I was going to have dinner with George and Ritchie although I think it might just be George and me. I was excited. The time was twelve and I was going to exchange gifts at three. I had an hour to relax; I then needed to wrap the gifts for the boys then I will leave so I can meet them at the cavern. George and Ritchie decided not to tell me where we were going to dinner because it was a surprise.
My gifts for the boys laid on the table in the hallway to our house. I had a bad habit of second guessing gifts for people, and I was definitely second guessing my gift for Paul. I felt it was too sentimental. I knew what to do though.
I found myself in Jane's room letting her have the album, where as I, took her present for Paul. It was a really bad gift; hair gel. Oh well. Maybe I could pick up something else on the way there.
As I sat on the couch wrapping gifts, Christmas music played on the radio.
"Getting in the spirit, eh?" My younger sister said as she sat next to me on the couch.
"Yeah"
"Oooo, I see a gift for Georgie!!"
She lifted the perfectly wrapped present and inspected it, looking for the card that was attached. Expecting this to happen I wrapped the card with the present.
"Georgie and Amelia-"
I got up, bags of presents in both of my hands.
"Just 'cause the love of your life is dating your older sister doesn't mean you have to take it out on me. Ok?"
I ripped the gift from her hand and walked out of the house.
