"Damn Hunter what was that?" Julian smirked eyes flickering back to the cafe's entrance then back to him.
"What was what Julian?" He challenged back and Julian didn't feel threatened and pushed forward in his questioning.
"Oh you know the little eye rape you and that chic gave each other before, and not to mention her little teeth snap. That was fucking hot." Hunter bristled not at all feeling turned on but what had occurred between him and Cole. He had been somewhere else during their entire 'eye rape' session as Julian liked to call it. Not to mention that Cole's teeth snap seemed more like a warning than an invitation.
"Yeah mate that was intense." Logan muttered. Hunter groaned annoyed that his group all felt the need to comment on it passing out opinions on which chic was the hottest, how badass Cole was and they obviously wanted each other. Then remembering her for the first time Hunter looked back to where Brittany was being helped up by a worker, blood gushing from her nose and tears streaming down her cheeks. Yep definitely broken.
"We should probably take her to the hospital." Damon sighed reluctance evident in his tone of voice. All of the Five nodded and begrudgingly slid out of their booth. Brittany whimpered as Julian wrapped an arm around her waist taking her from the Starbucks employee and tugging her out of the cafe and towards his car.
"I'll take Brittany you guys follow behind." They all exchanged a parting word before Julian and Brittany sped off and the rest of the Five plus their plaything packed into Logan's Mercedes. Logan drove while Hunter claimed shotgun leaving Damon and Nicolas sandwhiching the brunette in the back.
The drive was quiet for the most part just the soft hum of the engine and whisper of music from the radio. Finally, the silence was broken when the brunette found the courage to speak up.
"So when are you guys planning to have your Halloween Bash?" Logan looked back at her through his rearview mirror and found she was already watching him expectantly.
"I've actually been meaning to plan that with you Hunter. What have you been thinking?" Hunter smirked proudly of his location choice.
"Halloween night obviously, I'm thinking we'll hold it in the Pit." All the boys chuckled nodding their heads in agreement.
"What!" The girl squeaked in horror. "But the P...Pit," she stumbled over her words before taking a deep breath and regaining her composure, "isn't that place you know... Haunted?" All the boys smiled maliciously at the prospect of a haunted Halloween Bash.
"Haunted? I think not... Have you even heard the stories?" Hunter turned in his seat to get a better look at her and the way her throat bobbed as she swallowed down her fear and nervousness.
"Of course I have. Everyone has." She said indignantly. Damon shrugged off her reply as did the rest of the boys.
"What's your name again?" Nicolas finally asked and caught the flash of hurt and anger that crossed her eyes.
"Courtney." She mumbled crossing her arms over her chest in annoyance.
"Well Courtney," Logan picked up the conversation, "why don't you tell us one of the infamous tales of the Pit." It wasn't a question more a command.
"I... Ugh fine." She pushed herself up in her seat and leant forward, dropping her voice to a conspiratorial whisper as she began the myth of the Pit, amusing all of the boys. "It all began a hundred years ago when the Pit was first created..."
