At lunch, I introduced Lilly to everyone. Lilly's old nerdy friends looked so surprised and betrayed. Who cares. Lilly's pretty. They aren't. Point proven.

"What are your interests?" I asked Lilly.

"Chess, math, science, history, technology, read-"

"No!" Interrupted. "From now on you like doing your makeup, cute boys, parties, the fast lane, and skipping school."

"Yes Ma'am" Lilly replied.

"And cool kids don't call eachother Ma'am. Be respected and don't show respect." I noted.

We all continued to eat our pizza. I had a salad from home. I can't eat anything greasy! Diets for me are strict.

People ask, "Avery, how do you get so skinny?" Well... Go on a diet! I've been on my diet for two years now and even a green bean isn't skinnier than me! Well... It is actually.

"Hey! Guess who's here!" I heard a voice say from behind me. Whoever it was covered up my eyes so I could see. Before I could even guess they blurted out, "It's your best, favorite, boyfriend, Jake!"

Oh... It's only Jake. Well how he made it sound, it pretty much sounded like he was Obama.

"Sit down. We have a new member of the crew!" I said. I sounded excited, I was. For the first time. "Her name is Lilly. Treat her with respect. If I hear anyone is disrespecting her... They're going down! Do you understand?"

Jake nodded like he wasn't even listening. Even if he wasn't, he knew I meant business!

One of my sidekicks, Brianna, said to us all, "Look! Some boy band is on the X-Factor. They're pretty cute! Don't you think Avery?" Brianna showed me her phone. Woah! Those guys were tons of hot!

"They're okay." I said plainly. I had to wink at Brianna, so she knew I really liked them but I couldn't say that and make Jake sad.

"Yeah. Your right!" Brianna replied.

Brianna may not be the brightest girl at school but she can catch on like no other person I know! Even more than some of these nerds!

"Introducing... Harry Styles!" An announcer said on the video Brianna was playing.

"He's pretty cute!" Brianna squealed.

"And... Niall Horan!" The announcer added on.

That guy Niall sure did look got! Even a perfect, popular, mortal like me couldn't have a chance with him! His smile, his hair, and his accent! Lets not go there.

"I've got to go. Stay here." I said to everyone while leaving our lunch table.

When I got to the bathroom, I yanked out my phone and searched, "New Boy Band on X-Factor." When I scrolled down, I saw "One Direction" everywhere! I clicked on a link and saw a few pictures, documents, and each boy singing!

I made one of their songs my ringtone. The song was called, "What Makes You Beautiful." I also made that cute foreign boy, Niall, my screensaver!

One rule. I have to keep this boy band a secret. A real secret.
