"So she just gets to waltz out of here like nothing happened?" Malia sighed, "well I suppose that's what Lydia does best."
"Well at least everything's sorted with Mackenzie now," Kira gestured to the little girl who had rejoined the room.
"I doubt if it's that simple..," Scott thought aloud.
"But I needed to talk things through with Lydia... I'm not accepting her just leaving again," Malia pushed herself up off the couch and went storming out the front door.
Malia expected Lydia to have left, but instead she found her squinting around in the inside the trunk of her car.
"What happened?" Malia asked.
"My car broke down... But I'm leaving, don't worry," Lydia turned around and walked down the drive, picking up a fast pace.
"Wait!" Malia called, walking after her old friend.
Lydia had crossed the road when Malia was called back. It was Mackenzie, shouting for her mom to look at something she'd drawn.
"Not know Macke-" Malia was whisked off her feet by a car.

She woke up, her eyes fluttering open as she was greeted by Deaton's concerned looking face. You know it's bad when you wake up to Deaton staring at you, Malia thought to herself.Stiles rushed forward and grabbed Malia's hand.
"Are you okay? Malia, can you hear me?" Stiles panicked.
"Yes," Malia groaned as she felt a throbbing pain in her side.
"But are you sure?" Stiles continued to worry, unsatisfied by Malia's answer.
She nodded. "Is Lydia okay?"
"She's fine, Malia. You were the one that was hit," Stiles said softly.
"Am I dead?" Malia asked all of a sudden.
"No Malia, you are not dead... If you were, I wouldn't be here," Stiles wanted to laugh but thought it would be cruel.
"Where am I then?" Malia kept firing questions at Stiles.
"You're in Scott's living room" Stiles told her.
She finally accepted what she was told, and lay back against the cushions.
As Malia rested, she could hear voices outside in the hall, in particular; Lydia's.
"This is all my fault"... "She'll hate me even more"... "I wish I hadn't been such a bitch to you all"... "But did I really create a bond with Mackenzie?"
She was startled by a knock on the door. Scott peered around the door, looking as white as a ghost. As soon as he saw that Malia was awake, colour flooded back into his cheeks.
"I-I thought..."
"That I was dead? Yeah, me too" Malia joked.
"How are you feeling?" Scott sat across from Stiles.
"Like I've been drinking for four days straight," Malia grinned, "but I'm totally fine."
There was another knock on the door, and Kira came in carrying Mackenzie.
"Mommy!" She instantly burst into tears.
"Hey, hey, don't cry... Mommy's absolutely fine," Malia wiped away her daughter's tears with her thumb.
"Banshee Lydia was crying," Mackenzie told her mother as she sat down on her stomach.
"She was?" Malia was curious.
