"Sometimes things are tough Malia, but Stiles loves you. I know he does, very much so. Please don't give up on him." Kira was sat with Malia on a Saturday morning.
"Am I being stupid?" She turned to Scott and Lydia who were also in the room.
"No, now shut up," Lydia said playfully. "Stiles is pulling up in the drive."
It had been six months since Lydia's return. Her and Malia were now back to normal after several sit-down sessions they finally got their true feelings out. Lydia had explained how college had completely messed with her brain. She was stressed and had a new group of friends that she had to fit in with. It was still a terrible excuse but Malia, after all this time, was willing to properly forgive.
Malia and Stiles' relationship was slowly getting better but a couple of months ago, Malia started keeping a huge secret from Stiles. It was something that she just didn't feel ready to break to Stiles, but he had already figured out that he was keeping something from her and he kept on dreaming up bad (and incorrect) situations as to what it was.
"Did you have a good day at work?" Malia got up off the couch to greet Stiles.
"Yeah it was really good but uh, I quit."
"Wait. What?!" Malia exclaimed. "Stiles, we are gonna go bankrupt! I don't work and now you won't be working and-"
"Ssh, calm down. Malia, I've gotten another job which means I can spend more time with you and Mack. It's work from home except from a few times a month when I have to go in. It's shorter hours but pays better."
"H-how did you manage this?" Malia was shocked. And delighted.
"Even though I've been talking about quitting for ages, my boss put in a good word for me and got me a great job with one of his friends," Stiles was proudly talking about his job.
"Why did you not tell me you were thinking of quitting?" Malia's mood dropped and she felt forgotten about.
"Because Malia, we rarely talk anymore incase you hadn't noticed." Stiles snapped then saw the expressions on his friends faces and decided to cut the conversation.
"Do you think finally Beacon Hills has become safe again?" Scott changed the subject, referencing the fact that there had been supernatural activity in about four months.
"I should hope, I finally want this place to be comforting for my daughter," Malia commented.
"Well, you guys have done your job well." Stiles said, a little distant.
"And you too, Stiles. You may not be a supernatural creature but you are the glue to this pack. You keep us all motivated and we couldn't do anything without you," Scott told his best friend. "But as I am no longer needed here, I think it's time to say that Kira and I are moving town."
Everyone fell silent and stared at the couple. "You're what? What if we need you again, Scott? You have to come all the way across the country to help us?"
"Well we haven't done anything in months. And besides, Liam is still here. He can help," Scott tried to justify his move. "You guys can visit! I'm not moving to Australia," he joked.
"When do you leave?" Stiles asked, suddenly noticing the cardboard boxes in the dining room.
"Tomorrow, that's why I called you all here," Scott said.
"Sorry for the late notice. We'll miss you but we're always here if you need us, that's a pack promise," Kira smiled.
Malia had started burning up. She heard everyone else telling their news but was still too nervous to tell hers. In a flash decision, she asked to speak with Stiles outside.
"I have something to tell you and I've been meaning to tell you for ages," Malia stuttered. Stiles nodded for her to continue. "Okay so... I'm pregnant. Again." Malia half smiled, waiting for Stiles' reaction.
He looked shocked, but a happy shocked. Stiles scooped Malia up in his arms and started jumping around in excitement. "are you serious? This is awesome I thought you were cheating on me!" Stiles screamed in delight.
"Stiles! Do you really think that little of me?!" Malia yelled, slapping his arms.
"Oh you don't want to shout, it's bad for the baby," Stiles immediately regretted what he had said.
"It's bad for the baby is it?! God I hate you!" Malia laughed as she chased Stiles back through to the living room.
It seemed absurd, but their relationship had almost been restarted back to normal once the looming secret had been spilled. Malia had thought Stiles would react terribly but instead his reaction had been the complete opposite. A huge weight had been lifted off her shoulders, as with Stiles who as he had so loudly stated, had been thinking that his girlfriend was having an affair.
"What... Baby?" Lydia squeaked as the two walked back into the room.
Malia took a deep breath and stood up in the centre of the room, crossing her arms as if she was doing a class presentation. "What with everyone's great news about moving on in life, Stiles and I have some news. We're having another baby!"
"Oh god, aw Malia that's great! I'm so happy for you!" Lydia jumped up and wrapped her arms around her friend.
Malia hugged her back as Stiles made his way over to Scott and Kira. "I'll go call Mackenzie in from the garden," Malia said and quickly went to grab her daughter.
The little girl came bounding in, all smiles, and sat down patiently as her parents hovered in front of her; dragging on the suspense.
"Do you really want to know?" Malia teased. Mackenzie nodded frantically. "Like, really really?" Stiles added.
"Just tell me!" Mackenzie squealed, "I can't take this anymore!"
"Kids gonna be an actor when she's all grown up," Stiles joked, ruffling Mackenzie's hair.
"Anyway, so daddy and I want to tell you that... You're going to have a little baby brother or sister. Mommy's pregnant," Malia pointed to her stomach.
Mackenzie's face lit up. "Really?! I'm so excited I love little baby's!" She swooned.
"Will you be a good big sister?" Malia asked, catching her daughter as she leapt into her arms.
"The best!" Mackenzie threw her arms in the air.
Malia cheered and spun Mackenzie around. "I love you, my little coyote." Malia had taken to calling her daughter this. Mackenzie had no clue what it meant but Malia had convinced her that it was Greek for princess- whether Mackenzie would believe that for much longer was debatable.
"So does this mean everyone gets their happy ending?" Scott asked, looking around at his group of friends with a small tear in his eye.
"I would say so. It's just like the way it was supposed to be."
