today, mireu came in with a guy. i noticed that he had a broken arm.
"i'm guessing this is your friend." i chuckled.
"did mireu tell you what happened to me?"
i nodded, smiling.
"i'll have you know, there was water on the stairs and-"
"enough with the excuses, doyoung," mireu said as she sat in the chair.
"ready?" i asked.
she nodded and showed me a picture of all of the moon phases.
"i want this one down my arm."
"is there a meaning?"
"there are two meanings. the moon affirms life. it looks as if it is constantly changing. it reminds us of the inconsistency of life. it also symbolizes the continuous circular nature of time and even karma."
when i finished the tattoo, i heard mireu say something softly but i couldn't quite understand what it was.
"what did you say?"
"oh, um," she paused and doyoung nudged her, "you're a really amazing artist and there's this art show and"
"you want me to show off my art?" i interrupted.
"yeah! people can see how talented you are and i'm sure some of them will even want to but your art. it's this sunday."
"i'd love to. thank you for bringing it up."
"you're welcome."
"bye, mireu and doyoung."
bye, taeyong!" they called back.
