(Jacob's POV)
I couldn't stop thinking about her. How could this woman take up so much of my mind. I barely know her and yet I feel like I could never live another day without her. I wanted to learn everything in those 10 total minutes we spent together. There isn't enough time in the world that I could spend with this girl. I hated saying goodbye to her. My drive back to the house was agony. The music on the radio couldn't compare to her voice. Her mesmerizing eyes were all I could picture, my surroundings were absent from my senses- I'm lucky I didn't crash. As I walked into my living room I remained ignorant of the others around the space.
"Hey, Jakey," Quil called. "What'd you bring us?"
"I thought you were bringing back take out?" asked Jared.
"Are you cool, man?" continued Embry. All questions go unnoticed. As if on autopilot, I mindlessly walk to the kitchen, drop the bag of food onto the counter, walk back to living room, and plop down on the empty rocking chair in the corner. "Jacob? Man, are you ok?" I finally look at the boys, suddenly startled by there newly apparent presence.
"Hmmm?" I reply, stupidly.
"Why are you acting so strange? What happened at the store?" Quil asks, beginning to sound worried. His words, however, bring me back into my daze. That store will forever be the place we first met. I will never be able to look at a box of pizza rolls the same way. "Did you run into Bella or something? You look love-struck."
"No, if it was Bella, he'd be more mopey. This is some new girl, isn't it?"
"She isn't just some girl," I finally reply. Her face pops up again in my mind. "She's THE girl."
"You imprinted?" my dad exclaims as he wheels into the room. I just look at him and smile, confirming his suspicions. "Who is this girl?"
"I've never seen her before in my life," I explain. "She has these eyes that just- and her hair is so- and her smile... could just take your breath away. Words can't describe her beauty. And she's funny too and smart!" I stumble over my words, unable to come up with sentences that could do her justice.
"What's her name, lover-boy?" Embry teases. "She's starting to sound less like a real person and more like a Disney princess."
"Her name is Becca," I answer. I pause, taking notice of how well her name fits on my lips. "She's visiting town to be with her family."
"What a coincidence! That hybrid chick-" Jared begins before Quil quickly jabs his elbow into his side. The boys then silently exchange glances before returning to face me, this time, their expressions resemble that of worry.
"Oh, please, do not ruin my good mood with talk of those monsters," I groan. "I had just gotten the bloodsuckers out of my head and here you go bringing them up again!"
"Jacob," Embry interrupts. "Did this Becca share her last name with you by chance?"
"No," I answer skeptically.
"Did she have brown hair that ends just about here?" Quil questions, gesturing the length as he speaks.
"And did she have brown eyes and smell like she bathed in pure vanilla?" Embry continues.
"Did she look to be about this tall?" Jared gestures.
"Do you guys know her?" They exchange looks again. "Please, guys, if you know who she is, tell me! I need to know her!"
They pause. "Jake..." Quil begins, shifting uncomfortably in his seat. "I think you might've imprinted on Rebecca Cullen, the hybrid we met today." I stared blankly back at them, unable to process my friend's words.
"What?"
"Jacob, the girl you met today sounds a lot like the vamp girl, Becca."
"That's not possible..."
"Apparently it is," Jared mutters.
"No, I did not imprint on a monster! My Becca is beautiful!"
"Vamp Becca was pretty hot," Embry ensures.
"No!" I shout, standing up and walking to the door.
"Jake, where are you going?"
"I have to see for myself," I answer, slamming the door on the way out.

(Rebecca's POV)"I'm back!" I yell as I walk into the house. I know my announcement wasn't necessary, but I was hoping that it would encourage a sibling or two to greet me at the door- thus being available to help me with my groceries. As I had hoped, Alice came leaping down the stairs, happy to help.
"Becca!" She greeted before grabbing the groceries from my arms and placing them on the counter. Together we go back out to the car and grab the remaining bags. Once we got back into the kitchen, Alice sat down on a bar stool and I started putting all of the food in the refrigerator and pantry. "What's up with you?" She suddenly interrupts.
"What do you mean?" I ask uncomfortably.
"Since you've been back from the store you haven't stopped smiling," Alice giggles.
"I'm just..." I pause, trying to brush it off with a simple excuse. "I'm just really happy to be home."
"Bull," she gasps, rolling her eyes at my partial lie. "Come on, spill."
"There was this guy at the store," I start. Her eyes grew big, excited. I can tell she's missed having me around. We were so close before I left. When she called me the other day to ask if I would come to Washington, we talked for hours! She told me about Bella and the newborns and their trip to Italy. I told her about Chelsea and my job serving coffee and how I'm taking University classes in my free time. I hadn't talked to her in a few years and it seems so much has happened to both of us in that long expanse of time. We'd definitely be spending the next few weeks while I'm back sharing all of our stories.
"Who is this guy? What's his name?"
"He's a shapeshifter, I could smell him as soon as I entered the store. But I guess he wasn't from the same tribe that I met today because he seemed to not recognize me."
"I don't think there are any other tribes nearby. What's his name?"
"He was so cute, Alice! He's dorky and funny... oh, and Alice, his arms were huge!"
"Becca! What's his name?!"
"Oh! Sorry!" I blush. "It's Jacob!"
"Oh. My. Goodness!" Alice all but shouts. "Jacob Black?" No way!"
"Why? What's wrong with him?"
"This is so great! Did he imprint on you? This could be the beginning of a new treaty between the wolves and us!"
"Alice, honey," I shout, grabbing her hands to grab her attention. "Slow down! What's imprinting? Who is this guy?" Before she could go any further in an explanation, the door bell rings.
