Brookey's prospective
I woke with a start. Fear pricked along my back. I felt dizzy and wanted to run. My eyes darted to the bars that blocked my way. I knew this place... I was at home. "Peachy?Peachy something's coming. Something bad. "
"Yes I feel it. What's going on?" Peachy's scream was panicked. "Peachy!" I said. "It must be an earth quake. Can you feel it?" The ground trembled and I could hear the crack of splitting wood over head. The other girls started yelling in panic. With another crack dust tumbled from the ceiling. I squinted through the dust and spotted Peachy. Her dark eyes met mine she through her head back and yelled.
"We will survive ," I said. I felt a creak beneath my feet. Then the ceiling started rumbling. The walls were shaking dangerously. The air was pierced with the screech of tearing wood. My whole world collapsed.

My eyes snapped open I caught my breath. It was a dream. We did survive. I breathed heavily. The night air was silent. Peachy decided that we would stay here, despite the dangers they faced. I turned to look at Peachy she was curled up in her sleeping bag.
She snored gently. I hugged her. Peachy rolled over but didn't wake. I rose to my feet. I trotted out of camp onto frosty ground. I walked towards the camp. Peachy had woke and sat up. "How are you feeling?" I wondered. "Much better. It doesn't hurt when I put weight on it!" Peachy said. What are you doing up before the sun?" She asked. I sighed. "Winter is growing colder and we need to move," I replied.
Birds had gathered nearby. I let Peachy get them this time. Me and Peachy picked up the birds after Peachy shot them with my pistol. "What are they?" Peachy asked. I paused. I wasn't so sure of what birds they were. "I don't know," I admitted.
After we ate me and Peachy practiced fighting skills together. I went for a walk when we were done. My breath caught in my throat. I blinked. Did I just see a dog? I trod stealthily over the frost. I examined the circle of trees. There was no sign of a dog. With a last glance over my shoulder, I made my way back to camp.
