11/20/2002 (Meredith)
I've been waiting so long for Claire.
My expectations of her coming back has dropped by about ninety-nine percent.
It's been five days.
That is a long time for someone to go missing and usually does not mean something good has happened.

I know I haven't written a lot, but there is nothing to write about.
I guess that's all I have to write for now.

It's been a few hours since I wrote.
So far nothing.

Wait,
I hear something that I haven't heard in a while.
Footsteps.

Whoever it is is knocking on the door. "Hello?"
The door slams open and there was a huge man standing there. I became quite scared. Then he silently moved out the way. There was a smaller figure behind him.
Claire!
She ran in and the door closed shut again. We hugged and I asked her what happened
She said,"When I was taken away they took me to this very large dirty room and made me clean it, but I got sick from the smell,
so I got them to take me outside, it was freezing out there. But anyway it was a fenced in yard almost like a prison, though not exactly, I could tell it was a very old building. From what I saw I think we're on one of the top floors."
"That's good, not the part of being sick, but you get what I'm saying. Oh I have missed you so much! Was that all you did for five days?"
"No, I had to clean other disgusting rooms and there are more people here more kids that I know from school. We have to get them out of here too." Said Claire
"So, not anyone from your family. That means they only took one from each family?"
"I guess so. We have to start thinking about how to escape."

That was pretty much our conversation with hugging and talking more.

I still don't understand why only one person from each family, oh well that does not matter right now. I am just glad that she came back safe.

I told her that I had written letters in her journal, and she was ok with that.

Now that she is back I won't need to write in here anymore unless Claire wants me to. I enjoyed writing in it, I know it wasn't a lot, but I helped me.

Wait, Claire said this was a very old building.
I still have all the maps in my bag that my dad gave me.

Let's get to work.

Goodbye,
Love Meredith
