The surprise

"Chris!" Veronica yelled from the bathroom, the sound of her voice bouncing off the walls. The sound of feet could be heard on the stairs, Foot steps booming rather loudly as they got closer to the bathroom. The door suddenly opened with Chris standing in the door way, blocking Veronica's view of the hallway. "What's going on? Are you ok?" Chris says panicked. Veronica looks down at her hands scared and worried. "What is it?" Chris says caressing her cheek. "I'm pregnant." Veronica whispers, crying lightly. She looks up and sees the worry in his eyes. He opens his mouth to speak but shuts it back closed. "I don't know what to say, are you ok?" He asks looking at her concerned. She looks up at him and nods and starts to cry as she thinks about what her father is going to do when he finds out. Chris notices what she is thinking about. He pulls her into a hug. "Everything is going to be ok. I will keep an eye on you at all times. I won't let him do anything to you or the baby." He says protectively, and lovingly. "Are you sure you are ok with this?" She asks him worriedly. "Well I'm not really ready to be a father, but I will have to be I guess. So yes I am ok with this." He says reassuringly." So you are going to let me keep the baby?" She asks him with excitement. "Yes...What else are you going to do with it?" He asks curiously. "Well, you know...I didn't know if you were going to make me...you know...." "ABORT IT!?!" He yells. Veronica nods and looks down. "Baby...I would never make you give up your baby if you didn't want to. That is a cruel thing to do to a mother and her child. Adoption is not an option either." He says looking down on her. Veronica looks at her phone to see what time is is and sees that it is 11:30 P.M. " I'm going to go to bed." She says to Chris giving him a kiss, and walks to the bed. "I'll be there in a few minutes." He says to her, kissing her head. Veronica nods and lays down and turns on the tv. She flips through the channels till she comes across Pretty Little Liars, and she turns up the volume and puts down the remote. She looks at the door at Chris who is holding her favorite drink, Hot cocoa with whipped cream on top. He hands it to her and lays down beside her. "Thank you my sweet love." She says to him smiling. " You're welcome cutie. What ya watchin?" He looks at the tv with a smile on his face. "Pretty Little Liars." She says hiding behind her cup with a smile on her face. Chris looks at her and smirks. " Fine I will watch it with you." He says while laughing, Veronica cuddles into Chris, and he plays with her hair, and draws small circles on her arm with is finger. Veronica slowly falls asleep letting all of her worries fade away, and staying close to Chris, the father of their new little surprise.
