It was past 11am the next morning. Toby was still in his tent, fast asleep. But meanwhile, Amy was wide awake as she'll ever be. In the east part of Harmonio lay a huge grassland filled with hundreds of targets. With Sarawano, Adelpho and Alphonse by her side, Amy was in front of a table with a large selection of intricate weapons. She had to decide which one she was going to take for the day.
Alphonse: So... what do you want to start with?
Amy: How about this?
Hovering her hand around each one, she picked up a shining silver dagger.
Sarawano: Are you sure?
Amy: Well, it looks easy enough for me... right? And it's just about my size as compared to the others!
Adelpho: Ohhh, so you think it's that simple? You've actually just chosen one of the most difficult yet elegant weapons on the deck. Don't be fooled by it's subtle and well-kept edges. If one weilds it properly, they may be able to hit all the targets at once. But if it doesn't go so well, it could probably backfire and even kill the user.
Concerned and anxious, Amy eyed Adelpho and began to process the things he had just said.
Adelpho: There's a first TIME FOR EVERYTHING! So don't dwell upon too much! "Sigh", I remembered when I held my first Dirk. Not really the fondest of memories, but one that will surely last a life time. That damnned thing was almost impossible to master!
Sarawano: Are you absolutely sure you would want to go with this weapon Amy?
Amy: Well, I don't have that much of a choice now do I?!?
Alphonse: Up for it?
Amy: Sure am!
Adelpho and Sarawano smiled at the two and as they did, the half-asleep Toby, followed by a servant, finally made their way to the training-grounds.
Amy: TOBY! LOOK AT THIS!
Boldly swinging the weapon back and forth, Amy almost hit Adelpho and Sarawano by the head, missing them by a hair! After her little display, they all looked sternly at her.
Amy: Whoops... sorry everyone...
Toby: Ha, I'm pretty sure I wouldn't mess with you now.
Everyone laughed at the thought and later on Alphonse took notice that one person was missing.
Alphonse: Has anyone seen Saluke?
Toby: Don't worry, he'll be coming soon.
Sarawano: As you can see Toby, Amy has chosen her weapon. Now it's your turn to choose yours.
As Sarawano was moving him close to the table, Toby's attention was caught by a glistening light emanating from one of the broadswords. Examining his options, he slowly picked it up.
Toby: This one.
Alphonse: I hope your aim is good...
Toby: What kind of sword is this?
Marveling at the piece, Toby touched the handle and noticed that it was made of smooth rock. As he carried it, it felt like it was made of a light-weight material. It wasn't as heavy as he had expected it to be. The tip was reinforced with a titanium plating and the latter part shined with brightest of silver. This was the weapon he decided to go with.
Sarawano: The Scimitar. Otherwise known as the-
Saluke: The Slicer.
Saluke arrived and abruptly cut his father off.
Sarawano: Ahhh, glad you could make it Saluke. I was beginning to-
Saluke: I'm not here because you expect me to be... I simply want it done. The sooner, the better.
Sarawano: Saluke...
Saluke: Let's just get this over with. Besides, if I teach him, I'll have a chance to whoop his ass right?
Toby: Whatdoeshemeanbythat?!?
Adelpho: Enough chit-chat! Let us begin! Time's a wasting!
Alphonse: C'mon Amy follow me!
As the two children leave and make their way to the oval greenery, Toby simply stands there, awaiting a call from his instructor.
"Are you coming or not?!? You better not waste my time!" cried Saluke as he began trailing-off with the others.
Toby: Alright-alright I'm coming! Are you sure about this Chief?
Sarawano: I'm 50% sure of it!
Toby: But what HAPPENED TO THE OTHER 50?!?
"You'll find out soon enough..." Sarawano replied chuckling.
Toby: How did I get myself into this?
Running off into the distance, Sarawano continued to worry about Amy's "condition." Turning to Adelpho he then asked;
Sarawano: Any news about her mark?
Adelpho: I have read all the books thrice yet to no avail. I still couldn't find any other alternative for it. But we must never loose hope. All we can do now is to keep an eye on her; see if the symptoms will take on full effect. It's also for safety precautions, of course. We can never be so sure when she'll have one of her other "incidents" again.
Sarawano: I don't want her to turn.
Adelpho: At this rate, it has already begun.
