~The Next Day~

I'm laying on my bed, staring at my ceiling. I couldn't sleep at all last night because I was trying to figure out who would be crazy enough to do something like this. I came up with absolutely nothing. I got up and went into the bathroom, I looked in the mirror to see the damage. Ew I look like death. I fix my hair, at least that's manageable. I don't think I can do anything to my face to make it look even a little better.

I took a shower and walked over to the girls' apartment, we're all going to see Camila together. They offered for me to stay with them last night but I just needed to be alone. We walk to the car and drive to the hospital.

"Lauren, are you okay?" Ally asks, looking into the rearview mirror.

"Yea." I state, simply.

We get to the hospital and I'm not sure if I can handle seeing Camila like this, so I walk behind everyone else. The lady at the desk said we can only have three people visiting in the room at once, so I let Dinah, Ally, Normani go see her so I can get some alone time with her. After all, I was the one who saved her. I sat down in the waiting room and after about a minute I fell asleep.

"Lauren, wake up. Camila wants to see you." Ally says, shaking me.

"How long was I asleep for?" I ask.

"About 20 minutes." Dinah says.

I nod and walk to Camila's room. I stop just outside the room and see her laying on her bed, so helpless. At that moment, everything came rushing to me at once. I realized that all those times when we were together and I felt butterflies, is because I have feelings for her. I know, I know I have a girlfriend that I love very much. But I'm not in love with her. I Lauren Jauregui am in love with Camila Cabello. I can't tell her and I won't tell her. She'll think I'm weird. It will ruin our friendship. Plus she is still recovering this isn't how I want to tell her. Right now I need to focus on finding the person who did this to her. From this moment, I'm going to protect her from danger. I don't know what I will do if I lost her.

~The Next Day~

Camila gets to go home and I'm on my way to pick her up. She started crying when I went in and saw her. She said she was crying because she couldn't believe that somebody would do something so crazy and she was glad that I was with her.

"Are you ready to go Camz?" I asked her l.

"Yea Lo." She said, smiling.

I grabbed her bags and went to the car. We drove back to our apartment. She wanted to cuddle and watch movies. She didn't know how much I wanted to just kiss her right there but I couldn't. She's still shaken up. About halfway through the movie there was a knock on the door. I got up and answered it and there was a cop there.

"Hello, are you Lauren Jauregui?" He said.

"Umm, yes." I said.

"We found the person who shot your friend, Camila." He said.

"Umm who is it?" I was so nervous.

"It was Mr. Austin Mahone."
