In the Basement

Prolouge

Ashley P.O.V.

The car horn blared from the street. "One second!" I yelled out the door I turned and grabbed my coat, bag, and arm full of books.

I slid into the front seat. "Why are you so slow?" Samantha wined, I rolled my eyes.

"Because a normal person does not take five seconds to get ready." I replied putting my seat belt on.

"Whatever. Let's just go get Matt." She said pulling out into the street. The roads were a bit icy from the night. It got down to about twenty nine degrees last night, but it didn't snow because for the one time a year in western Washington, it didn't rain.

We pulled up to Matt's house, he was standing out on the sidewalk shivering. "Took you long enough." He said.

"See Matt was out and ready." Sam said to me. "I was late once! And I was only late by like a minute." I said annoyed, they both laughed. "Whatever." I said slouching in my seat.

I shut the door as Matt came up beside me and jabbed my side. "Don't." I warned him, he laughed and we walked into the school.

Robbie came up next to us. "Heeeyyy." He said, I turned to him. "What?" I asked. "Are you going to go see the new Star Wars movie?" He said.

"There's another one?" I said. "There was already like eight."

"Seven." Matt said. "No," I said "because the animated clone wars movie, series, like eight years ago, the original six, then the Force Awakens."

Robbie looked at me. "If your not a fan then how do you know so much?" He said looking at me.

"My brother and my Dad made me watch the original six and the seventh, and I had to watch the clone wars with the kid I babysat." I breathed. "And I never said I wasn't a fan."

"Alright then. See you guys later." He said and headed off to his locker. "I have to go to." Matt says hugging me. 

"Bye." I said.

I continued to walk down the hallway and went to my locker, I grabbed my books and headed off to first period.

I looked up and saw Alex and Brinnley standing in the hall. "Hey!" Brin shouted out to me, I walked over to them.

"What are you guys doing?" I said, Alex shrugged. 

"Nothing, as usual." She said. "You want to hang out later?"

"Yeah, I have nothing else to do." I said, Brin nodded.

"Beats babysitting, Paisley can do that today."

"Alright see you later." I said waving at them, we all walked towards our classes.

I was walking down the hall, and reaching into my bag when I ran into something, I fell onto the floor. I looked up expecting to see a wall, but instead I saw the popular group of boys laughing at me, and Michael rubbing his head.

Why?

I know that this is a short chapter, I'm writing this on my phone (only device that has Wattpad currently.)
I will most likely write longer chapters in the future.
