Chapter 17; Revenge of Tenebrae (Velox)

The last I could remember is Pilosus getting the ventas knocked out of him by an unknown creature, all I know is that he is a ShapeShifter. He didn't hurt the 3 youngest and Tear but he did threaten him and Navy. I got up and open my eyes. We weren't in the Nursery, the Royal cave or even Bamboo's den but an unknown cave with blacken claw marks on the wall.

I looked around and saw Mother with a scar across her belly, luckily Tear was here to heal her in time.

"Mommy!" I ran to her. Macula, Viola and Leo were nursing. I noticed Father wasn't here but Tear was. "Where is Father and Pilosus?" I asked, starting to realize that Pilosus is missing.

"Father is fine but Pilosus?" She paused. "He's over there."

Pilosus was laying down but he was still breathing and Tear was next to him.

"Velox, he just needs rest." Tear said sensing my worry.

Just then Father was pushed into the circle of petras and a force shield of some kind glowed as Father crossed over it.

Father had scars everywhere and new scratches with some still bleeding. The stranger was staring aggressively toward Mother but Navy got in his way and growled. Mother begin to stand up but collapse to the ground. Tear hopped over to her , flapping his wing up and down.

"Roseis be careful, you may reopen it!" Tear screeched.

The stranger smiled, showing his teeth that was covered in blood. His eyes narrow as he continues to stare at Mother. "I know you are powerful even without your gem!" He showed everyone that he carries Mother's gem, meaning with one smash will kill her. Father dropped his threat. "Good. Now if i'm correct a Royal bares the Wings of Angels."

I looked back at Mother, who seems to be stun.

"No one outsides the Royal bloodlines knows that!" Mother hissed trying to get up. Again.

"Poor Pilosus can't sense me or anyone of my Bloodlines and Macula is too young to take or swap any power. Viola and Leo are too young to send a message to anyone." Everyone gasp as the stranger knows our secret. "Soon your Bloodline and others will cease to exist." He laughed and walked outside the cave and vanished

"Navy, who was that?" Mother asked with deep concern. Father looked down and then back at her.

"Tenebrae, he's an old Legend." He took a deep breath. "He has the Sifter blood and the Griffins and Phoenix's too. He's not alone either." Father started to whimper.

"Mommy, maybe Macula can understand us." I begged.

"She's far too young, little Nix." Mother said as she licked my head.

"Leona is safe, along with 4 eldest cubs. They should be safe on the Insulam." Mother explained. "Bamboo being exotic won't be a threat, I hope."

"No! No one is safe! Tenebrae is violent! He has no mercy." Father gasped as his tone died down. "He'll kill everyone to get to Rex and Regina."

"Why?" I cried.

"Regina might be an Angel, after all she was born on the Regius eclipse." Navy said. He watch the ground. "They are the real threat to him."

When he met my eyes and his eyes screamed pure terror.
