Ashton's P.O.V
After taking a nice hot shower, I combed my long dark hair putting it up into a messy bun. I applied my makeup which was really natural, since I hated when girls caked their faces with it. I put everything I would need for school in my bag and went over to the long mirror that hung on one of the dark red walls of the Rodriguez' guest room. I was fairly pleased with my appearance. I wore a black spaghetti strap tank top and mid thigh denim shorts with my white converse.
Just as I turned to leave, Enrique popped his head in through the door hesitantly he furrowed his brow but quickly masked it with a straight face. Hmm. Weird.
"Ready to go?"
"Yep." I answered popping the 'p.'
And just like that we were off in Enrique's Camero. Man I love his car.
I connected my phone via Bluetooth and put on one of my favourite songs. 'On The Floor' by Pitbull feat. Jennifer Lopez. Turning it up, I started rapping. "I'm loose! And everybody knows I get off the chain....." I glanced over at Enrique expecting him to be rapping along. But he didn't seem like himself this morning. Turning down the music I decided to talk about it. "Hey you."He kept his gaze on the road. "Yeah?"
I gave him a confused look. "What's on your mind?" I asked as he parked in the school parking lot. We were early. We both climed out of the car and Enrique leaned on his side with his back to me, so I went around and joined him. He looked like he was debating about whether or not he was going to say something. After a moment of silence, he finally answered. "We're best friends right?" I nodded and gave him a worried look. "And you know I'll always be here for you... Right?"
"What kind of question is that?" I asked putting my arms around his neck. Immediately his arms found my waist. "Of course I know that. And I'll always be here for you too." He moved his hands and put them on my hips.
"So can you do me a favor?"
"Of course. Anything."
He broke eye contact and looked somewhere far into the distance before Looking back into my eyes with a dead serious look. "Will you come to church with me this Sunday?"
