Aeesha's Pov
"I...I understand." I replied gently.
He was right! Had I known that he knew about it earlier, I would have lost it. I would have felt little and more miserable. If he did anything nice to me at that time, I would have thought he was pitying my situation.
"Aren't you mad?" He asked surprised, maybe by my reaction.
I only shrugged "Why should I be? You saved my life." I said with a sad smile.
"Y...you have Cancer? When? How?" Sa'adah asked as streams of tears fell down her face.
Ahmad's Pov
Aeesha nodded "It's true! It's been six months now since I found out. I didn't want to believe it that is why I kept it a secret from you all." She looked at her Dad who still had his knees on the floor.
She said "Even my Parents, I had been having a hard time believing it but...but when I met you guys, I felt free again, the need to live and to be with you all. The Doctor said something about me inheriting it from family members and I seriously don't remember any of my family members having Cancer."
"Oh my child! Come over here." Her crying mum motioned her over.
She ran into her mum's opened arms and sat beside her.
Her Dad sat beside her also and hugged her back. It was a very emotional moment for us all.
I looked around me. Dilshaad and Sa'adah hugged each other crying softly. Hamzah was still blinking his tears away but one eventually broke loose and fell down. Adil's tears fell freely, Batul and Haleemah were quietly crying beside each other.
Firdaus, I looked at her to see her glaring at the Plasma TV in the room. She didn't shed any tears but her body was vibrating due to unshed tears.
My gaze landed back at Aeesha and her family. Her Mum's Strawberry blonde, extra long hair covered both their faces. Her Dad was shaking a little.
An hour later, the atmosphere was getting a little better.
Firdaus' phone rang, she didn't pick it. It rang again, she picked it and hissed "What is it?" She snapped.
Realisation hitted her and she swallowed "I am sorry, Mum. How have you been? Yes, I get it. Love you both! Enjoy your holiday, bye!" She kept the phone on the side glass table beside the sofa she was sitting on.
Aeesha's laughter filled the air "Easy there, Kitten. You had better thank God it's Aunt not Uncle." She joked.
Firdaus glared at her, she stood up and walked away ignoring our calls. She went upstairs almost hurriedly.
"We are leaving...I can't seem to take this anymore. I...I...I don't know what to say." Haleemah said with puffy eyes.
Aeesha nodded "I...I understand! I am sorry." She whispered.
Haleemah ran out of the room and used the front door. We could hear her muffled cries.
"I...I will go check up on her." Batul announced and ran after her.
