chapter 2

As we are driving I text back jai

heyyy where do you want me to meet you? hope everything's ok xx - nina

yeah um meet me at the park. - jai

'' hey um melissa.. thank you for dropping me home i just need to go to the park '' i say with a smile 

'' yeah sure but im not a taxi driver you know''.. '' yeah of course your not.. your not wearing one of those taxi driver hats'' i say we both crack up laughing. We got to the park and i see jai sitting down waiting for me. '' hey is everything ok '' she asks. '' yeah he just wants to talk about something. '' do you want me to wait to you know drop you home? '' she asks. she is so nice I am so lucky to have her as a friend. '' thank you'' i smile closing her car (taxi) door.

He's sees me and looks up with a concerned face. '' hey nina''. '' so what do you need to talk about?'' i ask trying to hurry up so melissa can finally go home. '' i think we need to break up'' he says looking like he is about to burst out crying. '' w what! why'' i ask. that is not what i was expecting him to say at all!. '' listen its not you its -'' he says before i cut him of. '' oh i see the old it's not you its me trick i see'' i say crossing my arms pacing. '' why do you want to break up seriosuly this time'' i say as i feel a tear running down my cheek. he wipes of the tear. '' it really is me.. I can't date you any more because soon I have to do something and i can't be with you when I do it.. I am so sorry and i really do love you nina, i hope we can still be friends'' he says trying not to cry. Without saying anything he kisses me on the forehead and walks away. I am left there wondering if i should call his name and beg him to take me back but I am left speecheless. I walk back to melissa and open her car door. '' OMG what did he say are you ok!'' she screams. '' just take me home please'' i cry.

I arrive home and close the car door thanking her for driving me around. I walk through the door and close it sliding down the door crying my eyes out. '' hey where have you been'' aunt lisa says bursting out from the kitchen. '' oh my what happened'' she asks helping me up. '' nothing i just need to go to bed''. I love aunt lisa she is amazing. I am an only child after my parents where both murdered and the case was unsolved. I give her a hug and go to bed. 

I wake up with tear stains all over my pillow. great im a mess. but luckily I don't have school today just melissa's party. I call steph begging her to come over to get ready with me since she has the best fashion sense ever. 

She arrives with her stuff and we both run upstairs. I know she is my best friend but I couldnt ever tell her about jai. Even though i wanted to. we both put our makeup on. She is wearing a beautiful blue top and jeans with heels and I am wearing a silver necklace with a plaid tank top and jeans with my favourite pair of boots. 

We arrive at melissa's house at 9pm and its flooding with people. I see jai walking up to us (he is so drunk) '' hellooo ladies'' he says with a slur. oh shit can't he go somewhere else. I walk and knock past him. still angry he broke up with me for nothing. The party goes on and I did not have one drink. i would hate to be drunk. steph and amy are so wasted and melissa is average. Half way through the night fades as we are all dancing in her backyard. Until a girl called jess walks past its funny because I used to be her best friend until she mysteriosuly went away 3 years ago..  she walks past and suddenly falls to the ground in pain screaming. '' whats wrong!'' i yell trying to help her out. she had been bruttely stabbed in the stomach. '' Holy shit '' i say looking at the wound. Everyone crowds around looking at me. there was a knife right in front of me. they all thought i did it!.

'' call 911 '' i scream jai runs and picks up the phone '' hello police, ambulance my ex girlfriend just stabbed someone please come quick'' he yells into the phone. '' nina what did you do'' she says trying to walk away from me. the police run in and grab me pulling me into their car. '' what are you doing help! it wasnt me im telling you listen please I have been set up'' i scream as Im being shoved into a police car. Oh shit.

Im at the police station being interview and I had never been so nervous in my life. the detective walks in. '' is jess ok!?'' i ask '' shes in the hospital nearly bleed to death'' i sit back againts my chair knowing she was sort of ok. '' now all the signs point to you stabbing her so what were going to do is go to a court match and you can tell them your story'' she says. great.

Over the two days of being interiviewed my aunt comes in and visits. she doesn't believe i did it either which was a relief that someone believed me. i hate blood and jess was an old family friend why would i ever do something that wrong!.

As I am being interviewed i see jai walk in. Over the match He tells them all about what didnt happen and how him and a girl called sarah saw everything and sarah comes in and says the same thing. why dont they believe me i know it looks like that but i was set up. '' she is found..'' as she was about to say the words that would change everything. '' GUILTY'' she yells. WHAT NO NO NO THIS CAN'T BE HAPPENING. i start crying. lisa stands up screaming '' she didnt do it! she is a perfect child! she has her college dreams planned out and everything why would she does this?!'' she yells as im being taking away.

this was going to change everything. 10 months in prison with all criminals that did kill someone or do the wrong thing.
