I hit the highest button on the elevator and paced back and forth. I was impatient. I had to know if Melody was okay. I cursed myself for being an idiot and not asking if they had started the test. I paced more until, finally, the doors opened with a ping on the top floor. I flung out and realized that it was not the top floor, for there was no right door or doors. I cursed again. It was false information! I pulled out the sonic screwdriver and spun in a circle. It bleeped in the direction of up. I was confused. I tried again. Up. I shrugged and walked around, looking for some sort of trap door in the ceiling, pulling back curtains, ignoring angry shouts, until finally I found it. A small square in the ceiling. If I stood on tippee toes I could reach it with the screwdriver. I opened the door with it and climbed the ladder leading up to it. I found myself in a long stainless steel hallway. I thought of airplanes. I hated them; the TARDIS was more for me. I reached the door on the right, pulled it open.

And saw a Filinetta, shoving Melody back into bed. Melody was wearing a white hospital gown. She seemed to be arguing with the Filinetta nurse. She was asking for me.

Melody's POV

I hated the damn hospital!

I just wanted Dad, but noooooo, I couldn't leave. I was angry and on the verge of tears.

Then I spotted him. Dad.

I scream, "DAD!"

Doctor's POV

She saw me. Melody saw me. I couldn't help myself. I walked over to her and said, "Melody, honey, don't worry. I'm here. I'm gonna get you out of here."

The Filinetta said sharply, "You cannot remove a patient without permission."

I pulled out the the physic paper and waved in her face. "I'm allowed here. I'm the Doctor,"

The nurse sighed. "I know all the doctors that are doing the test. You are not one of them."

Crap.

"Like I care," I retorted. "She's my daughter, and hell to anyone who tries to do any harm to her!" I pulled Melody off the bed. "Come on," I told her, "we're leaving,"

"Must I remind you you are not allowed to remove her from the experiment?" asked the Filinetta with an exasperated sigh.

"Must I remind you no one is going to harm Melody?" I snapped.

This was way to easy. Was it supposed to be this easy? I was expecting a fight.
