Mary Margaret woke with a start when she heard Emma calling for her from upstairs. She could sense a panicked tone in her voice and ran upstairs to her.
"Emma?" She said as she opened the door to Emma's room, "You ok?"
Emma was sitting on the bed, leaning on the mattress with one hand and holding on to her stomach with the other.
"The baby's coming." She said, her voice shaking. She looked up at Mary Margaret, eyes wide.
"Oh my god!" Mary Margaret was in shock for a moment, but she snapped herself out of it. Emma looked away again, so Mary Margaret knelt down next to her, "Okay, we're gonna get you to hospital, and we can call Neal on the way. Everything's going to be okay, remember?"
Emma nodded.
"Good. Can you get up?"
Mary Margaret stood up and stepped back as Emma slowly moved to the end of the bed and eventually pushed herself up. Seeing that she was struggling, Mary Margaret held out her hand for the younger woman, who clung onto it to stay standing.
"You're sure it'll be okay?" Emma asked.
"Absolutely positive. Where's your phone?"
Emma pointed to the bedside table and Mary Margaret took the phone sitting on it.
"Can you call him?" Emma pleaded, "Please?"
"He's your boyfriend, you have to talk to him."
"He's the boyfriend who I just had a massive argument with!" Emma cried, "Please, Mary Margaret. I can't deal with it, not yet."
"Fine."
Emma managed a smile in thanks as Mary Margaret found Neal's number on her phone.
"Emma?" Neal asked, hopefully when he picked up the phone.
"Not quite." Mary Margaret said, following Emma, who still had a tight grip on her hand, out of the room.
"Mary Margaret?" Neal sounded confused, "What is it? Is there something wrong?"
"Emma's gone into labour. We need you to meet us at the hospital." Mary Margaret explained in a hurry.
Neal was completely silent; Mary Margaret could barely hear him breathing.
"Neal? Neal!" She said, loudly, "Hospital. Now."
"Oh, right," Neal said, coming back to his senses, "I'll be right there."
He hung up, not even stopping to consider talking to Emma. Mary Margaret felt sorry for them, but she had told Emma the truth before. He did love her.
Her thoughts were cut off by a gasp from Emma and a tighter grip on her hand.
"Just breathe, Emma. It's alright, Neal's on his way." Mary Margaret kept saying as she got Emma to the car and drove towards the hospital.

Mary Margaret sat in the hospital waiting room for little over an hour before she heard news. The only remotely interesting thing to happen in this time was watching Neal running down the corridor just five minutes after they arrived.
She waited anxiously until a nurse walked in and asked for her. Jumping up immediately, she was relieved to hear that the baby was a healthy boy, and that Emma was absolutely fine.
"That's great to hear, thank you." Mary Margaret said.
"Do you want to see them?" The nurse asked.
Mary Margaret was about to accept the offer, but she stopped herself.
"Actually, can you tell Emma I'll be back? In about half an hour?" Mary Margaret asked, "I just need to get something first."

Emma was disappointed when she heard that Mary Margaret had left, but having Neal and her son with her took her mind away from the sadness. She completely forgot the argument with Neal, and her thoughts about leaving.
"Do you have a name yet?" Neal asked, sitting on the edge of her bed.
Not taking her eyes off of the baby, Emma said: "No. Do you?"
"No." Neal said.
Emma laughed, then finally lifted her gaze to Neal.
"I'm sorry I stormed out. It was stupid."
"I'm sorry I yelled," Neal said, "But we can't keep doing this."
"Doing what?"
"Arguing. Haven't you noticed?" Neal said. Emma shook her head, "We argue, I yell, you walk out, stay at Mary Margaret's and somehow we end up back together the next morning crying and apologising."
"I guess you're right. We can't do that now. We couldn't do that to him." Emma agreed, "Do you want to hold him?"
Neal nodded and carefully took the baby in his arms. Emma watched him as he carefully supported the boy's head and held him securely.
"What?" Neal asked when he noticed her staring.
"Nothing." Emma sighed.

So I kind of turned my mock interview into a wattpad recruitment earlier this week. What? The interviewer asked what I do in my spare time and I told her I write and publish stories (missing out the fact that they're mainly fanfics). After the interview she asked me for the website!
And sorry to do this but I've started a youtube gaming channel: Beth Taylor Games. I basically play minecraft and I'm hoping to do a series with a friend where we try to re-create Storybrooke. So I hate to promote my channel like this but if you could check it out I would appreciate it.
Anyway, I'm going to dedicate this chapter to xxPrincessAuroraxx when I get a chance because she has managed to comment on every chapter of this without fail :)
