After Percy got back from Greece , back to camp-halfblood the only person he told about his fear of drowning was Thalia. She was the only one(besides Leo , but he's dead here) that would understand being afraid of your own element. Thalia helped him get officially over it and Percy started to help her with her fear of heights. She is still afraid of them but she can now handle it. And it brought them closer as a family than they were before.
