A Lover's Tale

Meeting Day

"Well, that was easy," Frisk said to themself. "I expected a bit more from him, but..." Their voice trailed off.

Frisk went through the door at the other end of the hall, only to find the throne room.

"Please be patient," Asgore said. "I will be there sho-"

Frisk attacked Asgore, nearly killing him in one blow.

"You..." He had trouble forming his words. "You are the one the flower warned me about."

A small white pellet was driven through his back, turning him to dust and shattering his soul.

"S-see?" Flowey stuttered. "I c-can be useful! I can... I can..."

His words were cracked, showing his fear.

"P-please don't kill me..."

He got his words out just in time to be sliced in half by a knife.

The room was pitch black. 

Silence was everywhere.

Suddenly, a figure appeared behind Frisk.

They were a few inches taller than Frisk, wearing a green sweater and brown, baggy shorts. 

This is who Asriel  told Frisk about.

This is "Them".

"Howdy," they started. "I'm Chara."

"Hello," Frisk began. "You must be the person Asriel told me about."

"Asriel?" Chara sounded a bit frightened at this. "How do you know his name? He's been dead for years!"

"Hey, hey, please listen," Frisk attempted to comfort Chara. "Asriel is okay, trust me."

Chara seemed to be calmed by this. "If he's really alive, I need to see him!"

"Will you trust me?" Frisk asked this with caution before they tried anything rash.

Chara took hold of Frisk's hand just as a reset button appeared in front of them.

"Okay," Frisk prepared. "You ready?"

"I'm ready when you are," Chara answered, prepared for anything.

Frisk prepared for the worst. "Three, two, one... Hang on!"

Frisk and Chara press the button to RESET.
