My eyes wandered through the crowd and the bright lights of Hongdae. I have been here for hours now and my feet are starting to hurt. I came to take photos which is my way to relieve myself from stress. Fortunately there was a bench around the area and I decided to take a rest for a couple of minutes. Getting a hot coffee from the vendo on my way.

I browsed through the photos I took earlier.. A smile crept on my face as I see smiles on other people's faces in my photos. It felt good. It was like recharging myself through the happiness I see from others. My love for bokeh lights is evident in my recent photos because most of their background were bokeh lights.

"Ah, coffee!" I said enthusiastically as I open my drink. Clumsy as I am, I spilled some of it. "My camera! My camera!" I shrieked as I placed it on a safe place before taking care of my mess.

I just wish I can get another job soon. When did live become this hard for me? I just wanted to finish my bachelor degree, get a job, and earn money for my mother. But it already seemed difficult and I'm just a freshman in my university. I took the last gulp of my coffee as if it was some kind of alcohol and let out a kkk~ sound. Coffee never fail to refresh me.

Drowning with the beauty of Hongdae at night, I didn't realize that I have been walking through the streets for a while now. I looked from my left and right, searching for an interesting subject for my photos. It became more crowded as the night got deeper.

"So," I placed my hands on my waist. "Where should I go now?"

"Wait a minute..."

"My camera..." My voice came out weak.

I ran back to the place where I took a rest but the bench was empty. I ran mindlessly to every direction to look for my camera but I couldn't find it. I was on the verge of crying when a pale young man, maybe older than me, approached me.

"What is it?" I asked after a few minutes he has been standing in front of me. He was holding a camera in his hands. I know it's mine! That's my baby!

"Hey, that's mine!" I said furiously.

"Is that how you thank someone for finding what you lost because of your carelessness? You're quite a rude lady." He said while giving me my camera.

I felt my blood rising to my cheeks and I couldn't even bring myself to look at the man in front of me. His expressionless face reminds me someone but maybe there are a lot of cold people in the world with that face.

"They're quite nice."

"Hm?" I raised my tone in confusion.

"Your photos. I went through your photos and they're quite nice. You're a pro?"

I smiled with his compliment. My love for photography started in the summer before my second year in high school. My aunt gave me a camera as a gift that Christmas and I just went on. But still, it feels good to hear someone recognize my photos.

"Uhm, no." Slightly shaking my head, I smiled at him. "Taking photos is my hobby. I was out to get some thoughts out of my mind."

"Is that so." The man grabbed his bag, taking out his wallet. He looked for a card and gave it to me. "I own a photo studio. I'm actually in need for a photographer and I think you have the skills."

'Min Studio'

I think I have heard of this place before. Wasn't it the one near my place?

"So?" His tone was starting to become impatient.

I held the card in the air as I asked, "Are you offering me a job?"

He rolled his eyes at my obvious question. I just wanted to make sure. "Yes, of course. What else do you think?" A hint of annoyance can be found in his voice.

I wanted to talk to my Mom about this first but I don't want to let go of such an opportunity. Maybe I can just tell her after my first day so she won't be able to stop me from having a job. Well, she hates it whenever she finds out that I have a part-time job. For her, as a university student I should be just studying and focusing on school not working my ass off. But all I wanted was to help her...

"Miss?" A sarcastic smile formed on his thin lips. "Are you taking the offer?"

There's nothing to lose. I love photography and I'm getting a job. A win-win situation.

"Uhm.. Yes." I said while nodding.

"You can start tomorrow." Those were his final reminders before leaving.

It felt like a dream but it wasn't. A stranger just gave me a job. And not just that he returned my camera to me.

"You can start tomorrow."  I repeat his words as I walk back home. The smile on my face became wider at the thought of what just happened. Lee Suji, what a luck you had tonight.
