A burst of light hit my face and I had no other choice but to open my eyes. Bad mistake. I squinted into the light as my mother slammed the door into the wall.
"What the hell?" apparently knocking went out of style while I was sleeping.
"Get up, I have to go to work and you're coming with me."
"Mom, I-"
"You don't get a choice, you're twenty-one years old and still living in your mother's house. I need you to watch the golf cart while I take care of some things. You've got five minutes, let's go!"
She left the light on and walked away. I moved around until my body hit the floor with a thud. All the strength I could muster after being woken up was used to pull my body off the floor. I stumbled to my bathroom to brush my teeth and do my business.
"Two minutes!"
I honestly wasn't scared of her but I was kind of excited to see some movie stars at the lot. I hurried to my closet and picked up some red shorts and slid them up my spray-tanned legs. I circled my closet for something big. I spotted a big white t-shirt and put it on. As I was sliding on my black vans I noticed my blonde hair was in giant knots. I ripped the ponytail holder off my wrist and tried to perfect the messy bun as I tried to not fall down the stairs. I hopped in the car as my mom was about to drive away.

I wiped the sweat off the Starbucks I had talked my mom into buying me. My phone beeped, reminding me I had to go to work tomorrow. I heard a sigh then realized it was my own. I heard a door near me open and close. Whoever it was, was talking on his phone. I texted my friend Maggie so it looked like I was doing something. Then the guy on his phone sat in the back of my golf cart.
"Hey what the-"
"I think I'm in the wrong golf cart," my breath hitched in my throat like I just ran a mile. Then he smiled at me. I tried to stop the blood from rushing to my cheeks. I don't know why he was there but I quickly accepted the fate.
"Sorry, I'm Josh and I'm sorry," he seemed like he was stumbling with his words.
"You said that already," I smiled at him trying to make him stop apologizing. He didn't. He repeated the word sorry at least twenty times.
"I really am sorry though. Have you seen any other golf carts, I don't know how to get to the fourth lot," Josh said, his hazel eyes glimmering.
"I haven't seen any other carts but I can give you a ride, my mom's here everyday," I started up the cart.
"Wait, I wanna sit in the front", he said jumping in the front seat, "so what's your name? Who's your mom? Do I know her? Why are you so pretty? How old are you?" he said all his questions in one quick sentence.
"Well, my name is Olivia and my mom is Kathryn Bigelow. You might know her, I don't know who you know. That was smooth, the pretty question. I turned twenty-one last week." I smiled at Josh between every sentence. He touched my arm when I finished.
"Wait, Kathryn Bigelow ex-wife to-"
"Yeah my dad is Titanic Avatar James Cameron."
"That's awesome, what do you do?" Josh asked, coming closer to my face. I stopped the cart.
"We're here have fun doing whatever you're going to do. See you most likely in my dreams." I realized my mistake after it had already came out of my mouth.
"But how am I ever going to repay you?" I felt Josh's cool breath on my lips.
"Just buy like a coke or some-"
"How about dinner tomorrow night at seven? I put my number in your phone. I gotta go. See you tomorrow!" Josh kissed my cheek and ran into the lot.
Somehow I got back to the first lot but I had only woken up from my daze when my mother got in the golf cart.
"What's wrong with you?"
"I've got a date with Josh Hutcherson."
