Through The Doorway Book One: Lost Souls

Hell's creation

"WACK!!"
The comforting feeling of relief was short lived; my entire body shoved to the side from the impact of the door as it flung open. I gaze through the doors opening it led to a deep dark hole. I stare in silence for all of a few seconds before what looked like hell's creation reaches is arm out the door and stabs it's metallic fingers into my leg just below my knee; I look in shock as my leg seems to seep blood in all different directions. The monster lets out a ear piercing, metallic like screech from the depths of the doorway. I flail my free leg around kicking at the arm of the monster which is all that I could seem to see (presumably because the rest of it didn't fit out the door after all the arm only just seemed to be able to get out the door.) I dug my fingers in to the ground for dear life.

The struggling for freedom came to no such successful out come the metal claws only dragged closer to the door frame
"Just lovely I am being dragged to what is probably my death!"
I sarcastically mutter to myself. I was frantically searching every where to find a way out of this problem, when my eyes fell on a good sized rock about the size of my head thats when I had the idea, it was a stretch but if I could just reach it; I stretched out my body as far as it could go.

With a final reach I grasped the rock and with determination and lots of effort I tossed the mossy rock over my head and through the doorway. I listened to the mossy bolder fell down, down, down the deep, dark hole intill I heard a loud cracking noise from down beyond the doorway; what came up was a loud, inhuman, blood curdling cry and not the sad sounding cry but the angry, ferocious kind. The hellish monster let go of my leg and retreated its arm back in it's hole continuing to scream.

I wasn't about to waste one precious second waiting for that thing to come back up and devour me; before I could even comprehend what I had done I got to my knees and slammed the door shut the the monsters cries stopped as I herd the door click locking it's self from the out side therefore locking the hellish thing in. Yet the dead silence was not at all comforting in the slightest. It seemed as if the whole forrest shut up when I closed that door, eventually my thoughts got the best of me as I slowly peered into the key hole wondering why it had silenced all so Strangly. I looked only to find darkness on the other side of the door though I swore I could hear movement. It all seemed to happen too quickly I was frozen in place crimson leaking everywhere
"Did that happen?"
Was the only think of to say it felt so unreal yet I had the sinking feeling it was and that did just happen.

What happened? you asked well your just going to have to wait and find out.
