"Where the hell am I?" you screamed, finally finding your confidence.
"Exactly there" Crowley nodded.
"What? I didn't die though! And stay away from me!" You screamed at him, realising that you didn't have a single weapon that would work on the demon on you. You were in some serious shit, and you knew it.
"Oh, no, darling, you're as alive as one can be. But you are in hell."
You looked around, taking in your surroundings. You and Crowley were in a giant hall, with a throne-like armchair in the middle. It all looked fancy and expensive, and the only thing that ruined the view was the window through which you could see a long line of people queuing. They looked like they were fatigued and starved, and it made you shiver.
So Hell was like this, huh?
"Why am I here? I mean, yeah, I deserve to go to Hell, but only when I die...?" you asked, deciding to stay calm and communicate with the King of the Crossroads.
"You'll see in a second, love", was the only answer you got before there was a flash of light and you saw a man with three pairs of wings standing in front of you.
"Oh, thank Father, you're okay, (Y/N)"
"Gabe!" You exclaimed. You took a closer look at the archangel. You guessed that you could see his wings because you were in Hell, and it didn't follow rules or laws of the world above.
The man (or angel) in front of you looked exactly the same as you knew him to look. It was lucky, you thought, that Gabe's vessel was identical to the angel himself. He did seem more... celestial to you, though. The power and purity radiating from him was enough to take your breath away.
"Ah, just the person I've been waiting for!" Crowley said joyfully. Then, before you had a chance to realise what was going on, Crowley struck a match that he got out of thin air and dropped it on the ground near Gabe's feet.
A bright golden flame rose from where the match hit the ground, and spread in a circle around the archangel.
"Holy oil... you son of a bitch" Gabriel said through gritted teeth. He had told you about that 'wonderful' oil that was basically a demon trap but for angels.
"Why so rude?" Crowley asked in fake horror. "Look, I knew you were coming, Gabriel, so I prepared. I know how powerful you are, and unfortunately, you're one of the creatures that could get in the way of me embody my plan, so..." Crowley cocked his head to the side, as though he was thinking something through. "So, I have to kill you. It's nothing personal, I just don't want you around."
The demon moved a bit closer, a blade glistening in his hand. You knew too well just what that blade could do to an angel.
"No!" You screamed, flinging yourself between the angel and the demon. The first just tried to make you move out of the way, so you wouldn't get hurt, but didn't quite reach because of the flame. The second one, on the other hand, just grinned at you.
"I suppose... yes, I could make a deal with you, love", Crowley told you.
You gulped. Selling your soul... it wasn't something you wanted to do, but, losing your archangel, that... that was worse than death to you. So you asked, "What's the deal?"
"(Y/N), No!"
"Well, darling, I could spare his pathetic little life in exchange for you." You definitely weren't expecting that. He wanted you?
"There's a catch." It wasn't a question, no, you knew that there was a catch, you just hoped that it wouldn't be even worse than losing Gabe.
"It's not much. All I want in return for me sparing him" Crowley looked at Gabriel, "is for you to be mine. You can't belong to anyone but me, and... if he approaches you without my permission, well, it will be you who will be hurt."
It felt as though your heart had stopped. Either way, the rest of your life would be without your beloved archangel, the only difference being that if you made the deal with the demon, he could live on, even without you. That was much better than watching him die.
You made long eye contact with Gabriel. There was so much pain in those whiskey-colored eyes.
"No", he mouthed.
You gave Gabe a sad smile and whispered "I love you" to him. There wasn't much more you could have said or done at that moment.
"Fuck, I hate you, Crowley. I will take the deal." you said, facing the demon, feeling the hate that you had for him.
"Thought you would" he said with a cynical smile. "Now, you know how to seal the contract, I expect?"
You nodded. You had to kiss that son of a bitch to make sure that he wouldn't hurt your angel. It was something you were willing to do for Gabe.
You leaned in to the demon and felt his lips on yours. He didn't bother going softly first, instead, his tongue went straight into your throat and you felt like gagging. A wave of disgust went through you, but it was replaced instantly by a strange feeling. It was like something otherworldly was pulsing in your veins, going through every part of your body.
Crowley leg go of you and you had to catch your breath. The contract was sealed and now you didn't have to worry about anything happening to Gabe at this moment in time.
You looked at the archangel and felt so much guilt. He had to watch you being handled by another man. It may have been to make sure he was safe, but it didn't change the fact that you had just kissed the demon.
You fished around in your pocket and found a miniature flask with holy water in it. You quickly unscrewed the top and poured the contents onto the flame, giving Gabe a chance to get out. He stepped over the gap you had created, and was about to go near you, but stopped. He looked at Crowley, raising an eyebrow.
You turned to look at the demon as well. "Please" you begged him. "Please, just give us a minute"
"I can't see any harm in that. After all, you're going to be mine for the rest of eternity" he told you with a smug look on his face.
You almost tripped over your own feet because you were in such a hurry to get to the angel, but he caught you. His arms were strong around your waist, and he buried his face in your (Y/H/C) hair. You came in closer, trying to savor every moment spent with him.
"I'm sorry... I should have let you come... None of this would have happened if I hadn't been so selfish and childish and, and..." you sobbed.
Gabe pushed away a bit, looking into your face. His fingers brushed a tear off your cheek and he kissed you on the forehead. "Shh. It's not your fault." He told you, looking into your eyes. You were shaking so hard that he seemed a blur. "I'll find a loophole to break the contract. I swear. I won't stop trying."
And you believed him.
"Time's up, darling." A voice said too close to your ear. You spun around, with your hand raised, ready to slap the confident bastard, but he caught it in his. His grip was like steel around your thin wrist, and you felt that if you tried to break free, he would simply snap your bones.
"Now, your winged friend has to go. That is, unless he wants to see you ripped apart by my hound"
There was a low, growling sound that came from the left of Crowley, and you felt your throat tighten.
"I'll be back for you", Gabriel mouthed, and, in a flash, he was gone.
"There's no point being afraid of me, love. I'm not going to hurt you, not now that you're mine" Crowley said to you.
Great, you thought, not being scared of a demon, what a great idea.
"Come, I'll show you around"
You really wished that Gabe would find a way to break your deal soon. You didn't doubt the archangel. You would wait until then.
