I zeta-d to the cave. It had been a few days since I burned the Yin costume. While the team and I had spoken- they had eventually forgiven the whole ordeal- it was tense and awkward. I knew they felt like they couldn't trust me,  I had lied and kept secrets. I still regretted not telling them, but at the same time I was able to stop them from worrying about me.

I silently walked into a spare training room, my speaker, and a CD in my hands. I put the CD in the speaker. I was just wearing a slightly short grey tank top and red spandex shorts. Dancing was a freedom for me. No hero business, no school, no B.E.M, just me and the music.

I closed my eyes and began to dance. Spins, jumps, and bends, forming into beautiful, fluid motions. This was my freedom, when there were no worries and all I had to worry about was...Well, nothing.

The song wasn't harsh or had lyrics, it was gentle and freeing (Song I'm thinking of: Now We Are Free (Cover By Taylor Davis). As I shifted my feet again I felt someone entering the training room I was in.

The person came closer towards me and my motions became faster, as the song began to end I began to end the dance. Strands of hair fell into my face. My breathing became heavier, faster. When the song ended I abruptly stopped, my lips perked up into a smile, that is, until I heard clapping.

Whipping around I faced the clapper, sparks dancing on my fingertips. The sparks immediately receded when I saw Dick's familiar face.

"I thought you were training the team," I huffed reaching for my necklace, the nervous habit automatically controlling my actions.

"They're sparring...I remember when I gave that to you," he motioned towards the necklace resting just below my collarbone, "It was an anniversary for us, or at least a friendaversary."

I giggled running a hand through my hair, "You were less awkward than when we first met, but I do believe you walked into the bathroom while I was taking a bath."

His face flushed pink, I snickered. Click. A new song started to play on the speaker, this song actually had lyrics in it, unlike the last one. I remembered this song. It was one of my favorites, one of Dick and my favorites. (I'm imagining Back To You By: Twin Forks)

"Care to dance?" Dick held his hand out to me.

I smiled and grabbed his hand. He spun me and started the dance. Our movements matched each other's perfectly. I looked into his eyes, I could see the memories shinning in them. I closed my eyes and for a moment, in my mind, we were two people dancing the night away, just like at our prom.

"Come on (Y/n)," Artemis groaned from outside of the bathroom. I took a deep breath and walked out, Artemis and M'gann squealed when they saw me.

"You look amazing! Dick will drop dead when he sees you!"

I smiled nervously, Artemis did my hair while M'gann did my makeup. My dress was a two piece white and red dress, the top showed at most, an inch of my stomach.

We were all at Artemis' apartment since it was in Gotham. A knock sounded from the door. I slipped on my shoes and walked down the stairs, where Wally- who was watching TV upside down on the couch- opened the door for Dick.

"(Y/n), you look...stunning," he stuttered. I smiled at him, he was in a suit with a blue tie.

"Listen here young man," Wally glared at Dick, us three girls held back our laughs. Wally seemed to be taking up the father position tonight. "You treat her well, alright! Keep your hands to yourself, don't get too close while dancing. Got it?"

Dick nodded, a shocked look on his face. Wally laughed and slapped his back. Everyone wanted to take some pictures of us before leaving.

***************

"You looked like you were going to pass out," I laughed when we were walking into the dance.

"Wally can be scary," he whispered. I laughed even harder, holding my stomach.

A song started playing, a slow yet upbeat song (I'm thinking Back To You by Twin Forks). Dick grabbed my hand, leading me towards the dance floor. He put his hands on my waist and I put mine on his shoulders.

"A good day off?" He whispered.

"The best," I assured.

That night, we were normal. Normal jobs, normal lives. I wasn't half Demon or half Lord of Order. If I thought, dreamed, hard enough, then I would be able to go home and call my parents. Letting them, know that I was doing well in college, and my jobs were going great.

More memories raced through my mind. Once, maybe two years ago, I had a nightmare. I had called Dick sobbing and he came quickly. He stayed with me and sang our song until I fell back asleep.

The music ended as Dick dipped me, I opened my eyes again. Dick and I were dangerously close to each other, I smiled and leaned forwards giving him a quick kiss.

"Thank you Dick, thank you."
