Brendon's POV
After we finished eating, Tyler thanked me for the non-nasty food, and we both went into the cafeteria. I let him go a few minutes before I did so that no one would suspect anything.
Five minutes later, I was about to walk into the cafeteria, but was quickly pushed aside by a very pissed-off looking Tyler.
I stood there, very shocked and curiosity eating away at me. I spun around to see him stomping away down the hall. He turned around for a split second, with watery eyes and a middle finger held up in my direction.
I bit the inside of my cheek and walked into the smaller building where my parents were smiling and laughing with a couple of other grown up people.

Tyler's POV
I thanked Brendon for the food, because Taco Bell is quite amazing, and he said that I could leave first. I made my way down the hall, and into the room. I shut the door behind me, and walked over to where my mom was.
Her eyes widened as she saw me approach her "Tyler!" she hissed
"What?" My mood already dropped significantly because when she uses that tone, it means that I've done something wrong.
"Why are you wearing that?"
"I-I-I-"
"You can not wear that!"
"B-but why-y?" I choked out.
"You're a boy and when you wear those girl clothes, it's very embarrassing!"
"I-I'm sorry, m-mom." I looked down. Whenever she does this, my confidence always plummets into the ground. It's always pretty hard to dig back up.
"No way!" A woman my mom was talking to, exclaimed "I know him!"
"Oh no," Mom groaned.
I was filled with hope for a second but then she said, "My husband, son, and I were finding it very comedic yesterday!" She laughed.
"Y-your son?" I asked.
"Yes." She sighed happily "My son, Brendon." I froze. "He's such a good boy. Good grades, a very pretty girlfriend, athletic, and such a smart boy with such a bright future!"
"Brendon?" The tears were forming in my eyes "He-he m-made fun of m-me?" My bottom lip quivered.
Why was he acting so nice to me?
Is he just playing some dumb ass prank on me?
Was he dared to pretend to be my "friend"?
How much is he going to be payed for this bet?
"Oh, everyone at church does!" She laughed loudly. Mom quickly joined her "Oh! You don't dress like that and expect to be treated normally, do you?" They laughed even louder.
"I think that if Tyler and Brendon were to meet, Brendon might rub off on him," Brendon's mom suggested.
"Oh my goodness!" Mom smiled "Thank you!Yes! Of course I love that idea!" She clapped.
"No," I told her.
"W-What?" Her smile faded.
"I don't want to be around him anymo–I mean at all." I narrowed my eyes.
"You don't have a choice," she whispered harshly. "How about tomorrow?" She faked her happy and cheerful self to Brendon's mom again.
"Okay,!sounds lovely." She smiled.
I huffed and stormed out of the room. Before I could make it to the door, Maddie came up to me and asked, "What's wrong, Ty?"
"Ask mom," I grumbled as her face went automatically red.
"Fucking hell," she grumbled back, clenching her fists at her side and stomping in mom's direction.
I flung the door open, and was met by Brendon. I pushed past him, still very pissed off by what he did. I turned around for a second and held up my middle finger.
He looked at me with such shock and confusion that I knew he was so obviously faking. I bet he was just shocked that he didn't win some dare or a bet that he could be friends with me, or get me to trust him.
