Chapter 2: Home By Myself/ Surprise!

Kennedy's POV

For the past couple weeks, I haven't went to the races because my due date is soon.

My Mom has been living with us for the past couple weeks since Chase has been gone on the weekends for the races.

I didn't want to go over there for the races but I wanted to surprise him. I told him I wasn't but Mom, Samson, and I are driving over there.

After a LONG, uncomfortable drive, we got to Las Vegas Motor Speedway.

The Cup drivers were currently qualifying.

My Mom helps me put my stuff into Chase's RV and I head to the track. Well, I wobble there.

I got greeted by a few people that I knew and they were happy to see me.

Once I got to pit road, Chase was sitting in his car. Alan saw me and he widened his eyes

"KEN-"

"Shhhh! He doesn't know I'm here!" I tell him.

"You drove all the way here?"

"Yeah, a very long and uncomfortable one. I wasn't going to but I hate being away from him, especially when I'm like this" I smile.

"Well it's good to see you! You look amazing!"

"Thanks" I smile.

"I've missed your bratty self"

"I've missed you too" I laugh hugging him.

"How are you feeling?"

"Very pregnant!"

Once qualifying was over, Chase climbed out of his car and started talking to Alan. He qualified 12th.

"I think someone is here to see you. I don't know who it is but they're over there" Alan tells him.

Chase looks over at me and his eyes widen and smiles so big. I giggle and he jogs over to me and steps over the wall.

"What are you doing here?" He asks hugging me.

"I don't like being away from you. And hey, I can go wherever I want to as long as I drive"

"You drove over here? Kennedy Karina Kahne, why did you do that?"

"Well Mom drove me over here but I wanted to be able to support you. I'm not due yet so I'm fine"

"You're in big trouble"

"I know but you can yell at me later" I wink.

"I will. Oh, Hi, by the way" he says kissing me.

"Hi!" I smile.

"I don't like being away from you. You're way prettier in person than on a screen" He smiles

"Well thank you" I giggle.

"Kennedy!"

I look over to see Blaney jogging over to me.
