Kennedy POV
Today was Monday, April 3rd, 2017. I was two days late and nervous as all get out. I have never been so uncomfortable in my whole entire life.
My back hurts and I'm super tired from carrying maybe 7 pounds or more. I was also starting to get really grumpy which can you blame me?
I was currently in the kitchen drying the dishes and Chase would put them away. I suddenly feel water run down my leg.
"Chase"
"Huh?"
"I think it's time" I say. He looks down at me and down at the puddle of water on the floor.
His eyes widen.
"Okay, I-I'll go get the bags and I'll get you a new pair of pants. You sit here okay?" He says helping me sit down at the dining room table.
"Can you get Mom? She's folding the laundry" I ask.
"Yeah Darlin, whatever you need" he says kissing my head and he quickly runs up the stairs. I giggle at how excited he is.
He comes back stairs with Mom right behind him. Mom came like two weeks ago to live with us for a little bit just so she could be here when I did have the baby.
"Oh Honey! This is so exciting!" My Mom says coming over and kissing my head.
"I'm gonna go put the stuff in the car" Chase says running outside.
"I'm gonna go help him put everything in the car, okay Sweetie?" Mom asks.
"Okay"
I look down at my belly and smile.
"I'm gonna miss you being in my belly, Girly. But we are so ready to meet you! I love you so much" I say and I feel her kick my hand and I giggle.
"I won't miss you kicking the devil out of my bladder though" I laugh.
"Ready to go, Ken?" Chase asks squatting down to my level.
"Yeah" I sigh with a smile.
"Can't wait to meet you Baby Girl" Chase says rubbing my belly and kisses it real quick. He smiles because he felt her kick his hand.
"Let's go Gorgeous" he says helping me up and we get in the car and head to the hospital.
Once we get there, we get checked in and they get me a private room. I change into a pink hospital gown and they hook me up to the monitors and stuff.
"You comfortable enough Honey?" My nurse Lisa asks me as she rubs my leg for comfort.
"For the most part, yeah, thank you Lisa" I smile.
"No problem, Sweetie. Ice chips?"
"That would be great"
"I gotchu" she winks and walks out of the room. She's a black nurse and she's the best. She's so sweet and hilarious.
"Kennedy! Hey Pumpkin!" My Dad says coming into the room.
"Hey Daddy!" I smile as I hug him.
"How're you feeling?"
"A little uncomfortable and kinda in pain but other than that I'm fine"
"That's kinda good" he chuckles.
"Hey Chase" my Dad says shaking Chase's hand.
"Hey Kelly" Chase smiles.
"Has anyone talked to Kasey?" I ask.
"I called him when I was putting your stuff in the car and he said he was getting in the car with Sam and Tanner" Mom says.
"Okay good. What about your Mom and Dad?" I ask Chase.
"I called them last night about you being due and they should be-"
"Hey guys!" Cindy says coming through the door with Bill right behind her.
"Here soon" Chase finishes with a smile.
"Hey Kennedy!" Cindy says hugging me.
"Hey Cindy! Hey Bill!" I smile. They greet Chase and my parents.
"Okay so what about Becca and Ryan?" I ask Chase as I hold onto his belt loop.
"I called them earlier this morning so they should be here soon"
"Okay, thank you" I say patting the side of his leg.
"You're welcome Ken" he says and kisses my head.
"Hey Sweet Pea, I got your ice chips- whoa! Hello! Who's all these lovely people?" Lisa smiles as she comes into the room and hands me my ice chips.
"Lisa, this is my Dad Kelly, my future mother in law and future father in law Cindy and Bill. Then you know my Mom and Chase" I introduce them.
"Well it's all nice to meet ya! I'm gonna go get Dr. Weaver so she can check you okay?" Lisa says.
"Sounds good I guess" I smile.
"I'll be right back Sweet Pea!"
"Alrighty!"
"We're gonna go look around the gift shop, okay? We'll be back soon" My Mom says kissing my head as Cindy, Bill, and my Dad walk out of the room.
"You look hot in that pink gown" Chase smiles sitting on the edge of my bed.
"Thanks Good Lookin" I giggle.
"Are you ready for to meet little Abi?" Chase asks rubbing my belly.
"So ready. But I'm gonna miss being pregnant" I sigh with a smile.
"Me too, you look good pregnant" he winks.
"Stop it!" I laugh punching his arm lightly.
"Alright Kennedy, let's see what we have here" Dr. Weaver says coming into the room with Lisa behind her.
"Okay" I say and Chase moves over to my side.
"Alright Kennedy, it looks like you are about 4cm dilated! You're getting closer!" Dr. Weaver smiles.
"Yay" I smile back.
I start to have a contraction and it hurt like stepping on a Lego, but a little worse.
"Holy crap" I whine as I grab onto Chase's hand.
"It's okay Darlin, you can get through it"
It lasts about a minute and once it's over, I decide to take a nap.
